A Sustainable Yet Charitable Business Model from Bon Jovi

A Sustainable Yet Charitable Business Model from Bon Jovi

Jon Bon Jovi is an incredible musician, but even more amazing human being. While I love charities that help people and fight for causes, JBJ has found a way to do just that while keeping the model of it sustainable financially. Charities depend on donations. JBJ's Soul Kitchen is an actual sustainable business model that does so much good for people. Not only that, it create community by allowing everyone to feel on the same level aka actual human beings no matter their life circumstances. I'm really in awe of this and want more people to know about it because we're humans first, content creators second and the world sure could use more kindness in it. To check out JBJ Soul Kitchen, go here: https://jbjsoulkitchen.org/. Don't Ever Coast... Too Many People Do and it Bites Them In the Ass! Keep a Side Hustle

Don't Ever Coast... Too Many People Do and it Bites Them In the Ass! Keep a Side Hustle

Far too often I've seen people in the entertainment industry reach a goal and then coast. They take their foot off the gas pedal thinking they've made it, only to be blindsided in due time. Don't do this. Never get complacent If your dream is to be a content creator, you must keep creating. Always have your own side projects in addition to your work. Make work your priority, always. But devote time to your projects as well. Like with investing, this is called diversifying. If you don't, you won't like the results. Trust me. I've seen it. Feel free to ask me any questions or offer some of your thoughts. And for more free resources from your 360 creative coach, check out my website at http://philsvitek.com.

How I Make Content at Scale & You Can Too Thanks to Gary Vee's Content Model

How I Make Content at Scale & You Can Too Thanks to Gary Vee's Content Model

For a long time, I looked down at social media. I didn't think it was a valid way of distributing quality content. I admit I was wrong. It is. And then I started publishing things myself. But I only did it once a week. I wanted to do more, but it felt too much. Like somehow the quality would suffer. And while I was introduced to GaryVee a while ago, someone who advocates creating content at scale, I just didn't think I could. Then he published two how-to-guides on this very thing and my mind was unlocked. Now I batch all my content and it's simple. And you could do it too! (Here's the links to the guides: https://www.garyvaynerchuk.com/the-garyvee-content-strategy-how-to-grow-and-distribute-your-brands-social-media-content/ & https://www.garyvaynerchuk.com/how-to-create-64-pieces-of-content-in-a-day/). Why It’s Imperative You Assess Every Outcome, Especially Victories... Ep 85

Why It’s Imperative You Assess Every Outcome, Especially Victories... Ep 85

We have a bad habit, or at least I certainly do, to not fix something if it ain’t broken. And I typically think that if I’m getting the desired results that nothing is broken. This is far from the truth because it could be sheer luck. Many successful people, like Ray Dalio, talk about the importance of making sure that the process has quality. Pep Guardiola, a world class soccer (akak football) coach (for Manchester City) is notorious for making sure his players do everything correctly even during victory. I’ve started doing this and so should you. Check out this episode as I expand on this notion. And please let me know your thoughts, whether in the comment section or hit me up on social media @PhilSvitek. I’d love to hear from you!

Seeing the Fruits of Your Labor: Ep 19 of A Phil Svitek Vlog

Seeing the Fruits of Your Labor: Ep 19 of A Phil Svitek Vlog

There comes a point in any creative journey where the project you're working on really starts to come together. It's not longer just disjointed pieces here and there but part of a larger whole. I'm experiencing that now with two of my projects and it's exciting. The first is a movie, the other my novel. I discuss how ADR made my movie truly watchable now. I also go into the myths of ADR. As far as my novel, I give some thoughts/pointers on query letters. And I even manage to talk about a setback that's happened but how my friends and I are handling it. If you have any questions, thoughts, etc don't hesitate to write. For more of my lessons/tips/etc subscribe/follow on social media @PhilSvitek.
