    Episode Sixteen: Reflections - Northern Syria Part 1

    In this contribution, Breyton reflects on his profound journey from discovering the genocide against the Yazidi ethnic minority, to actively participating in the Kurdish liberation movement. He discusses the atrocities committed by ISIL, his personal motivations for joining the Kurdish forces in Northern Syria & Northern Iraq, and the assimilation he experienced being adopted by the Kurdish people. Breyton emphasizes the ongoing struggles faced by the Kurdish community, the importance of women's leadership in combat roles and as commanders in the resistance, and the unique democratic model established in Rojava. He reflects on the resilience of the Kurdish people and their commitment to fighting against oppression and extremism.
