The Progressive Christians Podcast

I’m so glad I found this podcast! I was raised Catholic in a very orthodox household and left the church 14 years ago. But this election left me completely baffled, almost gaslit by the contrast between what I remember from my religious upbringing and what’s happening now. I find myself needing validation that I’m actually sane and correct in my belief that the new administration is not what they claim to be. I’ve always considered myself a spiritual person, and this podcast is helping me reconnect with what I know deep down is right. Half of my family voted for Trump, even though I have siblings who identify as queer and I myself am disabled. I’ve found comfort in your podcast as I work through the grace I want to give my family, who claim to be Christian but actively voted for hate.

This episode provides much needed catharsis during a tough transition for progressive Christians following the religion of Jesus.

This is a great resource for anyone whose faith practice calls them to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

Dr. Carter gives me hope that things will be okay in these very trying times. I also share feelings and thoughts that resonate with my belief system and values.
