In episode thirty-seven, we learn about Mayu Shiraki and her long withstanding feelings for Hatori ever since he was her best friend, Kana’s, boyfriend. She used to date Shigure (of all people) to alleviate her loneliness, but Shigure could see that she always harbored feelings for Hatori. Two years later, he schemes to set them up.
