SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2022 TEXT: Luke 12:13-21, 2 Cor 5:16 #Recap Beware of Covetousness. #Covetousness is the unbridled, insatiable desire for things #Most people in life live for things Don't be so much in pursuit of things that you can sacrifice anything to get it. #The value of your life is not measured by the things you own. #Godliness without contentment will bring a lot of pressure and dissatisfaction. #If the little you have does not make you happy, even if God gives you the whole world you still will not be satisfied. #Covetous/Greedy people always have a hunger for what people have. #Your confidence should not be in things like good clothes. Latest shoe and phone. Because there will always be people who have the better version of these things. Covetous people are not thankful because they are never satisfied. Beware of Selfishness #Only foolish people live a selfish life, don't leave yourself alone #Life was designed by God to look ahead, you have to look beyond yourself to make progress. Lay Treasures in Heaven #You are as rich as your relationship with God #Don't only lay up treasures for yourself but be rich towards God #Place your relationship with God above anything else, it should be the foundation and most important thing in your life # every time you are a blessing to someone you are laying treasures in heaven Matt 6:21

Marriage: Bliss or Hiss?

SUNDAY, AUGUST 28, 2022 TEXT: Matter 19:11-12, Hab. 2:3-4, 1 Cor 7:33-34 #Recap Commitment is giving your spouse the freedom to fail, and not allowing it to break your marriage and it takes maturity to accept that. Maturity is not a function of age, it’s a function of exposure and experience Not everyone is mature enough for marriage, don’t marry if you are not mature enough Immaturity will make you pick on everything, not talking to your spouse for weeks is making a shipwreck of your marriage Your spirituality/carnality is measured by the quality of your marriage Create a vision for your marriage, Vision is foresight with the benefit of hindsight. If there’s anything you need the most in marriage, it is patience. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is marrying a proud spouse, there can never be a conversation, they only give instructions. Insult Is never given, abuse is taken! Marriage becomes easy, it becomes bliss when the preoccupation of the spouses is "how to please one another" The drive to please each other has to be mutual. You know if your marriage is fine, by how your spouse feels not how you feel.

THE TRIAL OF FAITH PART 2

DENNIS INYANG SUNDAY, MARCH 27, 2022 TEXT: Job 1:6-12, Matt 7:24-27, 2 Cor 12:7-10, Phil 1:29, Rom 8:35-39 #Recap The trials of faith can be summarized in 3 words - purpose, perspective, and perseverance. God's purpose for the trials of faith in our lives is to make us better not destroy us. How you go and come through trials will be greatly determined by your perspective. The way you see things will dictate your response and results. No matter what you go through, don't give up. Every trial has an expiry date so persevere until God delivers your testimony. The enemy's intention in trying you is to prove that you only serve God because of the things that He has given to you. He would have you abandon your faith when the going is tough. The fact that you're walking in God's will does not mean that you will not be tested. Your uprightness might be the very reason why you are being tried. God's intention in allowing the enemy to test you is to prove him wrong. God loves you and knows that you can overcome whatever is thrown at you. The quality of your faith will be revealed on the day of adversity. What matters is not how you look on the outside but the state of your heart. It is not enough to know the word of God if you are not willing to practice it. Only paying lip service to God's word is a recipe for failure in the coming day of adversity. Whatever God has not taken away in answer to prayer, He gives the grace to bear. He will never allow us to be exposed to more than we have the capacity to endure. God may allow us to face certain situations to help us to stay dependent on Him. Adversity humbles us. Suffering for Christ is as much a blessing as trusting in Him. It is okay to suffer adversity as a result of what you believe. We should never conform to the world to escape the pain. Until you are will are willing to give up everything (even your life) for the sake of Christ, you do not believe in Him. No matter what you go through in life, God still loves you. Even when we fail as a result of the trials in our lives, He still has a restoration plan.

It is up to you to make up your mind about what you want to receive from Him. You must be determined to press into what God has for you irrespective of what people around you think or say. Don't let anyone hold you back from your miracle. Whether you receive a miracle or not depends on the state of your heart. You must believe that God is and that he rewards those that seek him diligently. Not forgiving others places a burden on you and prevents you from receiving God. Forgive those who hurt you and use their Betrayal as a stepping stone to your next level. Live a clean life. Do not compromise your faith or cut corners to hasten your promotion. God honours faithfulness. Be a giver. Giving positions you to receive from God. It set you up for promotion and releases supernatural favour upon your life.
