    Navigating Change (with Brittany Hurd)

Guest Bio: Brittany Hurd is a former theatrical professional who, in late 2020, went a few rounds with a brain tumor and lost her eyesight. A trained singer, she has redirected her gifts toward chanting the Psalms in a musical theater style on the YouTube channel Canticlear. We may plan along the way and eventually find ourselves exactly where we wanted to be. However, sometimes our plans look nothing like what God has for us. Unexpectedly, we get a scary medical diagnosis, or something significant happens that alters the course of our lives. Brittany Hurd was diagnosed with a brain tumor that ended up taking her eyesight. This has completely changed her life, and now she’s navigating the change as a newlywed. Join hosts, Eryn Eddy Adkins and Vivian Mabuni, as they learn how Brittany takes it day by day with God in the midst of unexpected change during this God Hears Her conversation.   Notes and Quotes:  “The Lord promises strength for the day. He tells us to ask for our daily bread, not for tomorrow’s bread, not for next week’s bread, but today’s.” —Brittany Hurd “Despite what truly is a bad thing, the Lord brings even a better thing out of it.” —Brittany Hurd “You don’t have to do the big, showy, pastoral prayers, where all the words are just right. Just speak to the Lord. . . He always turns it to some resolution.” —Brittany Hurd   Verses:  Psalm 123 Matthew 6:11 Romans 8:26-27 Psalm 103   Links:  Brittany’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Canticlear Brittany’s Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/canticlear God Hears Her website: https://godhearsher.org/ God Hears Her email sign-up: https://www.godhearsher.org/sign-upsfmc  Subscribe on iTunes! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/god-hears-her-podcast/id1511046507?utm_source=applemusic&utm_medium=godhearsher&utm_campaign=podcast Eryn’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eryneddy/ Vivian’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vivmabuni/ Elisa’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elisamorganauthor/ Our Daily Bread Ministries website: https://www.odbm.org/   MB01KAB7HUSOUZJ

Join hosts, Elisa Morgan and Vivian Mabuni, as they discover how to overcome disappointments with Lisa Victoria Fields during this God Hears Her conversation.    Notes and Quotes:  “I talk about peace as this three-tiered thing, that it’s peace with God, peace with people, and peace within. Sometimes we want peace within without doing the peace with people.” —Lisa Victoria Fields “The only person that can bring healing is Jesus. He is the only one who can heal your sin-sick soul, your broken heart, whatever is going on. It is through Him only, not something that we achieve.” —Lisa Victoria Fields “Confession to God brings forgiveness of sin. Confession to man is how we get healed. God is going to use community to heal you.” —Lisa Victoria Fields “So many of us are going through similar things, but the enemy in isolation tells us that we’re the only person going through this.” —Lisa Victoria Fields “The whole God-head is a community that we should reflect. God gives us shared struggles for us to be bound together with one another.” —Lisa Victoria Fields     Verses:  Luke 9:10-17 Philippians 4:7 James 5:16 John 17:12   Links:  Jude 3 Project: https://jude3project.org/ Lisa’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lisavfields/ Lisa’s Where Ya From? episode: https://whereyafrom.org/episode/episode-01-black-apologetics-with-lisa-fields/ God Hears Her website: https://godhearsher.org/ God Hears Her email sign-up: https://www.godhearsher.org/sign-upsfmc  Subscribe on iTunes! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/god-hears-her-podcast/id1511046507?utm_source=applemusic&utm_medium=godhearsher&utm_campaign=podcast Eryn’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eryneddy/ Vivian’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vivmabuni/ Elisa’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elisamorganauthor/ Our Daily Bread Ministries website: https://www.odbm.org/   MB01WBUACUV4MGF

    Reframing Wellness (with Robin Long)

Guest Bio: Robin Long is the founder and CEO of Lindywell, a global mind-body wellness company that provides Pilates workouts, breathwork, and nutrition to help women build strength, reduce stress, and connect with their bodies. She is a certified Pilates instructor with more than a decade of experience teaching, writing, and guiding women in their health and wellness journeys.   Show Summary: How many of us have started the new year with resolutions about exercise or dieting? We tend to go into the new year with high hopes about how we’re going to change our lifestyle. What if the first step is actually reframing our mindset? Robin Long is a health and wellness expert who realized she needed to make big changes to alter a toxic cycle of exercising and overeating. Join hosts Eryn Eddy Adkins and Vivian Mabuni as they ring in the new year learning about how to have a balanced approach to health and wellness during this God Hears Her conversation.   Notes and Quotes:  “We all have a journey that we’ve been on that informs how we relate to our body today, and how we relate to our self-care, exercise, and fitness.” —Robin Long When we aren’t feeling well in our body, we go through our day with a level of stress, with a level of disengagement or anxiety, that can really affect our relationships and how we feel.” —Robin Long “How do we break that all-or-nothing mentality? How do we disconnect the belief that wellness equals weight loss. . . or whatever your definition of wellness equals, whatever is on the outside.” —Robin Long God says we are good, and that He created us in His image. So knowing that we are good as we are today, we don’t have to change the size of our thighs. We don’t have to change the shape of our bodies. We don’t have to change who we are in order to be called good, to be called worthy and loved. —Robin Long   Links:  Robin’s Website: https://lindywell.com/ Robin’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/robinmarielong/ God Hears Her website: https://godhearsher.org/ God Hears Her email sign-up: https://www.godhearsher.org/sign-upsfmc  Subscribe on iTunes! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/god-hears-her-podcast/id1511046507?utm_source=applemusic&utm_medium=godhearsher&utm_campaign=podcast Eryn’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eryneddy/ Vivian’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vivmabuni/ Elisa’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elisamorganauthor/ Our Daily Bread Ministries website: https://www.odbm.org/   MB01VPJCNCPVUGB

    The True Miracle of Christmas

Have you ever had a terrible Christmas? Do you find yourself getting caught up in making things look perfect, even though you’re exhausted or feeling alone? When the Christmas season rolls around, we often forget the true miracle of Christmas. Join hosts Elisa Morgan, Eryn Eddy Adkins, and Vivian Mabuni as they trace the Lord’s promises throughout Scripture to remind us of Immanuel, God with us. Join us for this special God Hears Her podcast Christmas Bible study.   Notes and Quotes:  “We have a hard time at Christmas, sometimes, because we don’t have a very realistic view of it. We imagine it to be something magical, instead of it being something truly, divinely miraculous. When we understand the miracle of Christmas, it changes our ‘rotten’.” —Elisa Morgan “In the midst of the really hard, I can’t really see the miraculous unless I’m with God. . .” —Vivian Mabuni “No matter the unpredictable Christmas I will get, I can rest knowing that the Lord will carry me through, and be there for me. —Eryn Eddy Adkins “When we pause long enough to imagine that this God of the universe, our Immanuel God, that He wants to have His presence within us. . . He promises His spirit within us to help us with what we need.” —Elisa Morgan   Verses:  Luke 1:39-56 Matthew 1:18-23 Genesis 26:3 Genesis 31:3 Exodus 3:12 Joshua 1:15 Isaiah 41:10 Isaiah 43:2 Jeremiah 1:8 Matthew 28:20 Romans 8:26-27 Luke 10:38-42   Links:  God Hears Her website: https://www.godhearsher.org/ God Hears Her email sign-up: https://www.godhearsher.org/sign-upsfmc  Subscribe on iTunes! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/god-hears-her-podcast/id1511046507?utm_source=applemusic&utm_medium=godhearsher&utm_campaign=podcast Carols of Christmas Video: Eryn’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eryneddy/ Elisa’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elisamorganauthor/ Vivian’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vivmabuni/ Our Daily Bread Ministries website: https://www.odbm.org/   MB01LJ0CE2QUFNB

She is the founder of Full Collective, creator of the annual Sowers Summit, and host of the Being a Sanctuary podcast. She has spoken at conferences such as Proverbs 31 and Verity Conference and has written for Chasing Justice and She Reads Truth. Maybe your schedule is filled and you feel like you have no time to do the things you want to do or spend time with people you miss. Sometimes we feel empty because we’re lacking a community that can help fulfill our needs or lend a hand. Pricelis Perreaux-Dominguez realized that women were running themselves dry while simultaneously missing out on a devoted community to spend time with. She founded The Full Collective with the hope of bringing women together to experience the fullness that God wants us to have through Him in our lives. Join hosts Elisa Morgan and Vivian Mabuni as they learn more about The Full Collective and how we can find fullness through Christ and community during this episode of God Hears Her.   Notes and Quotes:  “No matter what the battle that has come forth is, no matter what has tried to be stolen, destroyed, or killed in their life, that does not change the fullness that God has for us.” —Pricelis Perreaux-Dominguez  “I was very much in search of God, but I was looking for Him in a lot of things, a lot of different people, and a lot of different places. . . . I was filled with remembering that I am loved and seen by God, and that He’s actually been pursuing me and running after me all these years I’ve been running away from Him.” —Pricelis Perreaux-Dominguez  “We have to bring our questions to the feet of Jesus.” —Pricelis Perreaux-Dominguez  “We need to remember that our faith is not individualized. Although our salvation is individual, the work that the body of Christ is called to do on Earth is a collective work.” —Pricelis Perreaux-Dominguez   “What is absolute truth is that Jesus came to give us life, and life to the full.” —Pricelis Perreaux-Dominguez     Verses:  John 10:10 Matthew 28:18-20 1 Corinthians 12:26 Jeremiah 29:11 John 14:26 Psalm 23:6 John 7:38   Links:  Learn more about The Full Collective Pricelis’ book God Hears Her website: https://www.godhearsher.org/ God Hears Her email sign-up: https://www.godhearsher.org/sign-upsfmc  Subscribe on iTunes! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/god-hears-her-podcast/id1511046507?utm_source=applemusic&utm_medium=godhearsher&utm_campaign=podcast Eryn’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/eryneddy/ Elisa’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elisamorganauthor/   MB01JRU4C2PA0FU

I knew Jesus was there. And now, I’m able to speak more openly because I have that confidence, and I allow the Holy Spirit to work through me.” —Orsika Fejer-Baas “If my being open to the Holy Spirit to work through me helps one person, then it’s all worth it.”  —Orsika Fejer-Baas   Links:  God Hears Her website: https://www.godhearsher.org/ God Hears Her email sign-up: https://www.godhearsher.org/sign-upsfmc  Subscribe on iTunes! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/god-hears-her-podcast/id1511046507?utm_source=applemusic&utm_medium=godhearsher&utm_campaign=podcast Check out Orsika’s Where Ya From?
