Best tech podcast

I love the show and the trio is amazing. I like listening to the hosts and how they talk about each topic.
Not all tech news are purely tech related and they have to get into politics or economics but that’s necessary in order to talk about such topic.
ATP is number one in my tech playlist!

Getting more annoying

Marco is a pompous guy who knows surprisingly little, Casey is so soft and white he’s mistaken for wonder bread, and John, while by far the most listenable, somehow feels the need to pander and virtue signal to random groups. If they left the politics alone and cut out 80% of their meandering rambling there might be enough meat left for a decent podcast, but not enough to fill Casey’s milquetoast.

It’s OK, but....

There’s maybe about 15 minutes total of good content, which would be ok if the show ran 20-30 minutes, but it goes on for 2 hours sometimes. Even listening at 2x speed, it’s really hard to justify the time expenditure for what you get out of it. Besides the ridiculously long commercials you need to skip thru, I’ve found lately I’ve had to start skipping thru segments that run 25 minutes or more about esoteric topics, where all three of them take 10 minutes to say the same thing that would fit into a tweet. They really should just have one responder to each topic. Now that the shows have crept up to 2 hours a pop, I seriously doubt it will stay in the rotation.

The host is one of these people who feels the need to preamble everything they say to the point where you start to phase out, and has a hissy fit when everyone else doesn’t talk like that. He will only read emails and such if you first go on some kowtowing preamble that strokes their fragile egos first. He also rarely offers anything of worth to the conversation, but loves to hear himself talk anyways. I’ve tried to find John Siracusa with someone else in a better show, but haven’t been able to yet.
