Kansas: Monday Morning Quarterbacking The Best Race Ever

Kansas: Monday Morning Quarterbacking The Best Race Ever

Denny Hamlin and Jared Allen are back from a historic race at Kansas.
Denny had an upfront view of the closest finish ever as Kyle Larson beat Chris Buescher by .001 seconds. Sunday's race had the perfect amount of tire falloff to make the race interesting. Is there anything different Buescher could have done to hold off Larson? Timing and scoring is not the same as the official finish line. Does NASCAR need better cameras, and why isn’t the finish line not straight?
Denny had an eventful day on pit road. Could Denny have made it on fuel if the race stayed green? Or was Martin Truex Jr. going to pass him? Denny explains why he took the inside lane on the restart.
Kansas might be the perfect track for the Next Gen car. Noah Gragson scored an impressive top-10 finish. Plus, is this the final year of throwback paint schemes at Darlington?

How can NASCAR fix aero blocking and mirror driving (43:00)? Was Dover a good race (49:00)? Was Tyler Reddick to blame for Bubba Wallace's wreck (58:00)? Plus, #DearDenny.

    Texas: Going For Broke

    Texas: Going For Broke

Denny Hamlin and Jared Allen are back in studio after a heartbreaking ending for Denny in the NASAR Cup Series race in Texas.
Denny starts off by telling Jared about being “forced” to go to the Stockyards in Fort Worth with his fiancée and what they got into on their night out. Then, he talks about how NASCAR met with the drivers to talk about short track package and what changes NASCAR is willing to consider in the near term (12:00). Denny also covers how paving has created issues with the track surface at Texas Motor Speedway (19:35) and why Jimmie Johnson is going to have an uphill battle in every race he is in (32:35). Denny and Jared also cover how NASCAR forced a green-white-checkered finish at the end (40:45).
Plus, why did Denny decide to force the issue racing Chase Elliott, which caused Denny to spin out? Did Denny think about settling for second place (42:50)? Ultimately, Chase Elliott won and now has the monkey off his back (53:30). Plus, we hear from fans on #DearDenny and talk about saving money on tires (1:04:20)

    Money Question: The Richmond Restart

    Money Question: The Richmond Restart

Denny Hamlin and Jared Allen break down all the action from Richmond, including the race’s hottest topic – the final restart.
Chandler Smith wins the NASCAR Xfinity race but Joey Gase & Dawson Cram steal the show. Why couldn't Denny go golfing on Saturday (12:30)? Did NASCAR make the right call with wet-weather tires and non-competitive cautions (16:00)? The caution for Kyle Busch hitting the wall screwed up some teams’ race strategy (25:50). It was nearly impossible to pass at the end of the race, and Denny was prepared for a third-place finish (34:00). A last-second caution gave Denny life and his pit crew crushed the money stop (41:00). Kyle Larson wrecked and came out with a better finishing position (44:50). Finally, did Denny jump the restart (47:20)?

Former Newman fan

As someone who stopped watching nascar after Ryan Newman retired, this show has 100% brought me all the way back in and I’ve never felt more informed as a fan. Love or hate Denny you’ll leave every week more informed about the happenings of all 3 series. #A11in

Throwing up my 11s

Considering I boo’d and threw up the 11s at the 500 earlier this year I presume I have a debt to pay. As a Chase Elliott and HMS fan Denny and the JGR bots have always been enemy #1 for me but I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to AD every week and appreciate hearing a drivers prospective each week (lord knows I’m not listening to Stacking Pocket Lent).

Oh and long live purple vest 560!

Your photo

I’m slowly becoming an 11 fan and enjoyed another podcast. Man, your animated photo used on FS1 cracks me. Not flattering DH. Looks like you have a crew cut with a slightly off centered part in it. Like the Little Rascals! I’m waiting for FS1 to blacked out a front tooth! Terrible pic. Seriously, most Mondays I’m checking my phone for the next show. I’m older than you, so for you to race, fly home, take care of responsibilities, and have the energy to do a podcast, hats off to you. Hope you P36 at Darlington, but, will also 👍your 24’ Cup championship.
