We the Jury
Join us every month as Wrongful Convictions News™ takes a look at a new case and examines why a wrongful conviction occurred in each circumstance. Why did the jury decide on a guilty verdict? Was there prosecutorial misconduct at play? Were there eyewitnesses that got it wrong or had their own agenda? Did the investigators have tunnel vision? Whatever the cause, we will explore each case to determine what went wrong. Whispering
2022. 12. 27.
Aside from the content, which may be biased or may be for entertainment purposes (who cares? Everyone has their opinions on these cases and she’s sharing hers), it’s very hard to listen to these episodes. Host whispers into the microphone and at full volume in my vehicle, it can still be hard to hear. It’s also very tough to stay invested in a series when the episodes are only posted monthly, especially when it’s a multi-part series on a single case. Three months to get 90 minutes on Scott Peterson is way too long to drag it out. I appreciate shedding light on questionable convictions, I just wish the listening experience was better for these ones.
Basic
2024. 08. 19.
It’s hard to think every detail the host gives as to why Scott isn’t guilty doesn’t prove he is innocent. She ignores the large details that prove he did do it. I’ve only listened to the Peterson episodes. We’ll see if I get to the others. This is one case I think the detectives got right. Also, host says Scott didn’t have a mistress because he only hooked up with Amber four times, but that is the definition of a mistress. And let’s stop labeling the woman in the negative in these situations. Let’s start just calling him a cheater and a liar and putting the blame where it need to be, not on the female because it suits your poorly done podcast.
Biased reporting
2024. 03. 19.
Tried to give this show a listen, however the reporting is very biased. Not worth listening to if you can’t get the whole view of each case, which is what a jury is supposed to hear… all sides of a case. Very ironic that it’s called we the jury if the host is only willing to provide one small side of the story.
What’s with the bad reviews?
2024. 01. 26.
I don’t understand the bad reviews. It’s always important we listen to both sides. I do not think any of this is biased either though. The media spread a lot of lies about this case and it’s hard to believe that things you’ve thought to be true for years are actually just not true is hard. But in this case, we might have been wrong. And it’s time to find the truth. No one said that Scott is a good guy, I bet he would even say he is not. But there’s a chance he didn’t do it. I also didn’t think she was monotone at all, and I think the sound is totally fine. 5/5
