    Slovakia is a beautiful country with a rich history. There is so much to see and do while you're there. While you'll find a lot of traditional breweries serving lagers and old world styles, the new beer scene is still in it's nacient days. Cierny Kamen is raising the craft beer game. We got to try two of their beers:  Riwaka Time and Nexthopoit. Riwaka Time is a 5%ABV NEIPA made with...you guessed it...Riwaka hops. Nexthopoit is a 6.2% ABV NEIPA made with Talus, Sabro and Sultana hops. #beer #craftbeer #drinks #neipa #ciernykamen

    Bierschmiede Werkstruk Marzen - Schlenkerla Erle ep649

    Stefan did some travelling over the holidays. He made it to Vienna, and of course, he picked up some beers. While you can find lots of great beers in Austria, you can't find a lot of craft beer. Fear not, he was able to find an incredible marzen from Bierschmiede. Werkstruk is a 5.2% ABV marzen that makes us sad we can't drink it all year round. We jump into the Bavarian region with one of our favorite breweries Schlenkerla. Their smoked beers are always a treat. Erle is a schwarzbier.     Poppels Grand Cru Strong Ale - Drake's Santa's Brass: Heaven Hill - ep648

    HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to 2025 and our first episode of the year. We don't want to waste any time and get right to it with two exciting beers. Poppels Grand Cru Strong Ale is a 12.6% ABV strong ale brewed with Swedish brewers Smedsbo Slott. THis strong agle is barrel aged strong ale hits strong but finishes with honey, raisins and a little marzepan. Drake's Santa's Brass: Heaven Hill is an English barleywine clocking in at 14.6% ABV. Filled with bourbon barrel notes and dark fruit, this barleywine really helps kick off the new year! #beer #craftbeer #drinks #strongale #dugges #barleywine

    3 Fonteinen Prium Mirabelle no 25 - Lervig Silent Exchange - ep647

    That's a wrap for 2024. We hope you enjoyed the episodes as much as we enjoyed making them. We'll end the year on with a couple of beers from two of our favorite breweries.  Martin brought 3 Fonteinen Prium Mirabelle blend no 25. This geuze has Mirabelle plums added and was added to Olorosso barrels. This is one of our favorite blends that 3F makes. Stefan brought Lervig Silent Exchange by Rackhourse. The Rackhouse series is an outstanding line from Lervig. They always bring a high level of quality and flavor. Silent Exchange is a collaboration with Pohjala. They take the imperial stout and blend Finnish rye, maple syrup and put it in bourbon barrels. This little gem is a bourbon barrel-aged vanilla and chocolate stout. Lxy is rich and delicious with loads of vanilla and aged on Heaven Hill barrels for 36 months. Moody Tongue Brewing Company is a micro brewery out of Chicago.
