Just Stumbled into This … Fantastic Find

A great find. Thinking I knew computer history, I was blown away by what I learned here. Sean’s presentation style is very listenable. Though I’m just a few weeks in, the Intel series, the Cosmac series, the IBM series, and the podcasts on C were fantastic. Just now finished listening to the PFP-1. Outstanding work Sean!
absolutely outstanding work and narrative

As a software engineer, this is the perfect podcast that caters to the niche interest I have in history of computers.

I just listened to the first episode on the Mundanium and it scratches all my special interest itches. I worked in a library in college, and now work as a data analyst and have always had an interest in computer history. I can’t believe I had never heard any of this before. They were so ahead of their time! Can’t wait for the next episode.
Fascinating history

Just found this podcast a few months ago and have been listening to a few episodes each week. I knew a lot of computer history, but not nearly as much as I’ve now learned from Advent of Computing. Great stories and so well researched.
Very well researched podcast

This is the best computer history podcast I’ve found. The host really does his research for each episode. He also does a good job conveying why each topic is important to the development of computers.
Informative!

An enjoyable computer history podcast covering well chosen topics presented in a lively and interesting style. The content is well researched, well organized, and places its topics in context. Episodes include enough technical content to cover key points, but don’t require a technical background to appreciate the history and relevance to how things work today. Highly recommended.
Fascinating Content

A fastening journey through the history of some of the most prevalent and important technology we use today. The information is interesting and is presented in such a way as to be easily digestible. I learned a lot. It’s clear a lot of hard work and research go into this show, and it’s done with love.
I remember those times fondly.

Great podcast as usual. In the early 80s I lived in Columbia MD, home of Columbia data products. We used to get motherboards from their dumpster. They were one of the super early clones made right in MD. My first clone was bought at the Howard county Ham Fest in 1982. It was a turbo XT clone with 512 mb ram, 2 half height floppies, a composite video card and a orange screen composite monitor. I think I paid 499 at the time. It’s was very lose those days. Many if the cheap clone hardware was coming straight from the orient without documentation. Many of the dealers were straight off the boat and spoke little English. You brought back so many memories.
