Charles Hamilton allegedly had fourteen wives according to the newspapers, but the headline was that Charles used to be called Mary. Today we explore two stories with Jen Manion, author of Female Husbands: A Trans History.

Thank you for these interesting pods….

I really enjoy your podcasts—dynamic duo for sure & special guests add so much too. You both ROCK!

Obnoxious

I tried one episode (Bigfoot) and the constant joking and bantering between the hosts was childish. You aren’t funny, can you understand this? The fake over the top emphasis on laughing at every single one of your own jokes and supposedly witty comments is not entertaining. Get over yourselves. The potential is here, but maybe these hosts are beyond hope. Really disappointing and this show has no business being considered in the same class of other BBC podcasts.

My new favorite History Hit show

So interesting, so insightful, Anthony and Maddy bring history to life and tie these historic acts to present day. Love this show
