SAER, Gozer Goodspeed and The Blue Yellows

Music Music Music: the independent music discovery podcast. Spectrum by SAER SAER's latest track "Spectrum" is a dynamic fusion of alt-pop and rock, drawing inspiration from CHVRCHES, Muse, and Imagine Dragons. The song is an empowering anthem for the neurodiverse community, with infectious synth riffs and a melodic, emotive vocal arrangement. SAER's production is rich in emotion, capturing the vulnerability and strength of those on the spectrum. "Spectrum" invites listeners to delve deeper into the world of autism, offering a visceral and empowering musical experience.  Watch Me Walk by Gozer Goodspeed Gozer Goodspeed is the singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer behind some of Lights and Lines most popular releases, and now the unique Plymouth-based artist brings us his first taste of an exciting new project. Watch Me Walk is the first single from a forthcoming EP called Coffee and Catharsis, due for release in the summer. Effortlessly staking his claim on the territory between Blues, Rock, and Alternative Indie as his very own, Goodspeed brings us a moody and evocative tale of a protagonist standing on the edge of society and looking in, ready for a fight if that's what it takes. Recently Deleted by The Blue Yellows Recently Deleted is dedicated to everyone who has lost someone close to them. The Blue Yellows are an original grunge-folk band of both intensity and tenderness with tunes ranging from emotive wig outs to sing-along ditties. Their most recent EP "A Minute in the Sun" was described by The Musician Magazine as having ".. busy, fractious compositions with sixties tinges". They have recently been showcasing new material some of which they are have begun recording.  "This will get in your head!" - BBC Introducing  "Joyous" - The Musician  at’s your favourite track? Brian Lambert, Popclaw and Marc Schuster

Music Music Music: the independent music discovery podcast. Wild by Brian Lambert Brian Lambert is the artist who never stops creating, a man of mystery whose music transcends boundaries. Based in Denton, Texas, Brian's musical creations are not confined to any one region; they resonate with a global rock perspective.  His sound is a harmonious blend of rock from the 80's and 90's, infused with a contemporary edge. It's music that invites listeners to dance and sing along, while also prompting introspection on life's profound moments.  Scandal by Popclaw Popclaw are the rock duo from two parts of the south east of England. Dan and Chris work remotely and have never met in person still. The band are excited to introduce the 1st single of 2024, named Scandal, which is available now! The band wanted to visit a more dirty grunge sound with this song.  The song is about incels, Here’s Dan’s quote about the lyrics:  “I wanted to bring to light a terrible social issue that isn’t talked about enough in society “the entitlement of males and violence towards women.  It’s always existed but it’s important to speak about because that’s how we get better as a society, that’s how we do better.”  Read The Room by Marc Schuster I'm an indie musician from the Philadelphia area who also hosts a weekly radio show called the #Tweetcore Radio Hour on AMS Radio. Additionally, I interview musicians on my blog, Abominations. The song I'm submitting is called ‘Read the Room.’ I wrote it after sitting in a meeting that went on for way too long.  What’s your favourite track? Music Music Music: the independent music discovery podcast. Selfie by The Dreaming Void The Dreaming Void (formed in October 2017) are an English synth-pop-rock band based in Norfolk.  The Dreaming Void are an originals band that hit the sweet spot between early 80’s alt rock & more current synth pop culture. The band influences are: Future Islands, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Pretenders, The Cure, Curve & vocal influences spanning from Chrissy Hynde to, Blondie & Gwen Stefani  We are 5 piece alt synth rock (or something like that!) band from Norfolk, in the U.K. We have various influences but with a definite bias towards alternative music from the 80’s.  We recently released a new six track EP called Lines, which we promoted with a gig. Have uploaded all the tracks from the EP, including the singles The Stranger, Lines and Selfie.  Better For Me by JENTL JENTL began as a performance moniker for Brooklyn-based singer, producer, and songwriter Darren Dominique Davis. During the Summer of 2023, the project was re-shaped into a band featuring the combined talents of Daniel Mehaffey (bass) and Jimmy Arvan (drums). The trio explores electronic/pop music with smooth vocals, distorted samples, and shimmering synthesizers. The Chiller by 1201_Alarm The mission of 1201_Alarm is to engage and entertain, celebrating the wonder of science through music. In their live shows, they aim to prove that even non-scientists can enjoy and take pride in all that science brings to the world in the 21st century. Steve says: “Music inspired by science technology and endeavour. Our first album launched to the Moon in December.“ What’s your favourite track? Angry Blue Planet, The No Good Crowd and FYDstar

Music Music Music: the independent music discovery podcast. Adrift by Angry Blue Planet Angry Blue Planet is a songsmithing indie duo near Seattle. They generate an intentionally human vibe based on guitar and drums with natural, non-quantized rhythm. Their music is melodic, multi-layered with plentiful hooks and acerbic lyrics that are critical of the world we live in. ABP is sonically warm, rich and varied in tone, complex yet accessible. This is the title track from their album "Adrift" that was released in December 2023.  Some Kinda Gold by The No Good Crowd Formed in 2023, guitarists Jamie Olson and Jim McGuinn have history going back to Philly’s beloved indie rockers Cordalene (2000-2005), with Jamie forming the rootsier Midnight Singers not long after, where he was joined by drummer Neil Simpkins. Later Jamie formed the even more rootsy Atlantic Coast Ramblers with bassist Brendan Skwire, and putting us all together, we become The No Good Crowd. Black Hole Down by FYDstar Fydstar are a two piece (bass, drums, vox and atmosphere) band from North Wales/Merseyside making some kind of heavy sludge pop metal hybrid for people who like genre mashing! Vocalist Gareth says: “After this and two other versions have been released, earlier in the year, one with my vocals changed to Grimes’ vocals using her Elftech platform and the other having a different, less full on production, I think this version is my favourite! It’s about the irresistible pull someone can have on you, but how you love it really”.  What’s your favourite track? Inspired in equal parts by bands like the Magnetic Fields, Talking Heads, Elvis Costello & New Order as by composers such as Moondog, Kurt Weill, Danny Elfman and Aram Khatchaturian, Dream Optimist started releasing singles in 2022, eventually releasing an EP in mid-2023 entitled, “Seven Day Love Challenge." Crawling by Grand Mercy Grand Mercy is a rock band based in Los Angeles. They’ve released a 5-song EP full of guitars and catchy rock songs that verge on psychedelic from time to time. They hope their melodic and rhythmic sensibilities will satisfy the soul! Good Intentions by Bob Gaulke Bob says: I’m a public school teacher who enjoys songwriting and performing as much as listening and reading. I release new work frequently. Heavily influenced by post-punk, French, and Brazilian traditions. Here’s something recentish. Best Regards, Bob G. Twelve Days In June, March and Sin Seer

Music Music Music: the independent music discovery podcast. The Flood by Twelve Days In June Turning back the clock & kicking down the door to the golden age of 90s alternative, Twelve Days in June is the studio project of Schenectady, New York’s Dave Hulegaard. Self-described as a “throwback” artist, Dave is a spiritual successor to the wide array of 90s bands who shaped his youth, crafting melodic rock songs with introspective lyrics examining the often-unbalanced human experience.  His latest single "The Flood" is featured on the official soundtrack to the video game Stray Souls, available now on PC, PlayStation & Xbox consoles.  Jashdov 7 by March Doug Darrell says: “back in the '90's, I was part of a band called March. We did a bunch of demos, played out for a few years, and then went our separate ways. Then toward the end of the Pandemic, Joe Trainor contacted me about re-recording the demos using the modern DAW tech we had become accustomed to of late. The result is the album "In This Time." Along with Joe and me, his brother Allen plays bass, and his other brother Shawn plays a bit of drums and did the mix/master. ” Aim To Please by Sin Seer  Sin Seer is a heavy metal group formed in 2015 by two aspiring producers originating from the roots of South Texas. Since the release of their debut EP in 2018, Cameron McLendon and Trey Saucillo have honed in a unique sound that separates them from other heavier acts of today by taking heavier influences and blending them with alternative melodies.  Music Music Music is produced by Gareth Davies at The Sound Boutique for The Music Room community. Holy Joe by Vernons FutureForged in the white heat of indie’s golden age in the 80’s, Vernons Future play at the poppier end of the indie spectrum. It's a Rock n Roll Christmas bop, asking Santa to 'bring my baby back to me' this Christmas. It's unashamedly festive, and guaranteed to fill you with festive cheer!” Don’t Be Alone (At Christmas) by These Dead MachinesHere’s a song about using the holidays as a time of reconciliation, about the optimism that time of year can bring.
