This is a true crime fighting podcast where straight, real and raw stories are told with the goal of providing information that listeners can learn from and act on by providing critical crime tips to police. TRUE CRIME TAKEDOWN will be an effective crime fighting weapon by bringing wanted suspects to justice; delivering peace and closure to victims and their loved ones and teaching how to fight back and avoid becoming a victim. We also want to provide a deeper understanding of criminal justice issues facing us today.

    Midwest Murders - Part 3: Ryan Riddell and Mark Prasse

    One winter night, Ryan Riddell and Mark Prasse experienced unexpected and overwhelming violence inside Mark Prasse’s home, which cost them their lives.  Murders do not usually happen in small towns in the Midwest.  It is hard to believe that Ryan Riddell had been the victim of a home invasion at his farmhouse just seven months before.  Their family and friends are crying out for answers on this unsolved double murder which occurred in Chrisman IL.  Who killed Ryan Riddell and Mark Prasse?  There is a $25,000 Reward for the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for their murders.

    Two suspects from Chicago with murder victim Arnie Graves’ car fled from a traffic stop by an Illinois State Trooper. The suspects then went on a crime spree throughout Central Illinois including a home invasion, bank hostage situation and the murder of Chief Deputy Tommy Martin. Months later, one of the victims from this crime spree, Ryan Riddell, was found dead with his best friend Mark Prasse. This double murder is still unsolved.

On the day she went missing, Trudy Appleby was 11 years old and still enjoying her summer break from school. The search for Trudy has lasted 24 years. She is still not home, but police believe they are getting closer to the truth as to what happened to her that day.
