An entertaining, funny, and insightful show about the movies from a particular era, Emily, Ben and crew examine movies of every quality through a finely focused lens (even when the conversation is delightfully unfocused). And not only do they have the standard movie chats, they incorporate quizes, games, and structured conversation that sets them apart from the usual film-gab format most review shows adopt. A good time I look forward to every week.

I just enjoy listening to this podcast ! In depth research in the film topic with great guests. It’s a home run every ep.

Started with “Live Free or Die Hard” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks” episodes (don’t at me). Ben, Matt, Wesley and Emily each have unique perspectives that help the show gel. SO FUNNY! Really enjoying the second half, with group questions that go off the rails a bit more. Top notch production quality makes you feel there with good friends. I’m telling my friends to listen! Really enjoy this group and the guests they bring on every now and then. They always create a fun banter and dynamic between each of them and the concept of sticking to one particular year of film gives the show a unique identity.
