Fascinating pod!! I’ve learned so much about roots music and beyond listening to Songcatcher; a well-produced delight to listen to!
Pandering to woke ideology but still awesome

Other than the constant pandering to woke ideology and never missing a chance to soak in his white guilt, I LOVE this podcast! I love that he covers 4 or so subjects each episode just enough to get deep yet not long winded.
So pleasant

I enjoy this show for the information - loved the John Hartford and Johnny Cash pieces especially. But I also really appreciate how calming and pleasant the show sounds and feels.
A Warm Blanket

I’ve always been fascinated by the history of American folk music. This podcast could not be more up my alley. In addition to telling the story of artists from the past, it has introduced me to contemporary artists like Charlie Parr, who I don’t think I would have found otherwise. I also like the flexible format where the subject may be an artist, a song, a record label, etc.
