After listening to Ep.16 I still cannot believe how much work humans would have to do if our cardiac muscles were voluntary. It’s something that comes so natural yet I had no idea of the specifics behind it.

I went over chapter 27 about compact bones and spongy bones. This episode was very informative and fun to hear. I learned that the reason why it hurts when you hit your bone is because there are nerve fibers on the outside lining of the periosteum. Another thing i learned is that the compact bone is responsible for giving bones their strength while the spongy bone helps reduce the overall weight of the bone
