Excellent supplementary study for mcat! Professor H. is a godsend. Her review has helped me solidify majority of the science I rolled my eyes at during undergrad and connects it to A&P in a palatable way. Her subtle humor is also some of the finest on the airwaves.
Chapter 16

I enjoyed listening to chapter 16 because it was refresher with some new information thrown in there. 2 new things i learned today is skeletal muscle makes up 35 percent of our body weight which is interesting because muscle can make us weigh more. I also learned that skeletal muscle does not divide so it causes scar tissue. I wonder why is the smooth muscle able to divide but not the skeletal or cardiac muscle? Is it because of the striations?
Very helpful!

In episode 16, there were three muscle that were listed. Smooth, cardiac and skeletal. After listing to this episode I had a better understanding about the muscles .
Episode 16

After listening to Ep.16 I still cannot believe how much work humans would have to do if our cardiac muscles were voluntary. It’s something that comes so natural yet I had no idea of the specifics behind it.
