Murray Rothbard was known as the state's greatest living enemy, and this is his most succinct and powerful statement on the topic. Possibly the most brilliant

Mr. Rothbards short treatise on the excesses, motives, fears and ambitions of the state is the most brilliantly written piece of literature I’ve ever encountered. More brilliant than Rand. More convincing than Ron Paul. More intellectual than Hoppe. This work did more to turn my mind against the modern state than anything could. Listen at least twice yearly to remind yourself that the state hates you and wishes you were dead.
A Real Hemingway of Literature!

This handbook is absolutely iconic in the manners of this writer conveying such a strong description of his transcendence in modest writing. His massive wealth of knowledge being easily explained and conveyed in such a short handbook is amazing and absolutely fascinating. 100/10 <3
Anatomy Of The State

Murray Rothbard’s “essay” Anatomy Of The State is a classic example of a writing transcending its modest beginning, by a transcendent author of modest means during his life, a man SO prolific is his body of work that one can only marvel at this authors very life, only now in retrospect. In my humble opinion, Anatomy Of The State is an ideal primer to Murray N. Rothbard, though by no means any less significant a work. I HIGHLY recommend!
Very enlightening!

I stumbled across this on my own and can't believe I had not heard about this before. A lot of information and ideas in a short piece.
