    On this episode of the podcast, I sit down with former NFL player Joe Hawley. Joe has an inspiring story of deep transformation stemming from his decision to leave the dream in order to live the dream. After choosing to voluntarily leave the NFL to seek deeper purpose, he embarked on a mission of self-discovery that led him to plant medicine, meditation, community, vanlife, and much more. Unsupported by many of his teammates and loved ones, Joe's decision to leave behind the pro-athlete dream made little sense to those surrounding him. He listened to his heart, changed his internal definition of "success", and has no regrets. Joe is an all-around awesome human being and I genuinely enjoy his curious energy and our conversation. Joe is a former NFL star who played for both the Falcons and the Buccaneers. After 8 seasons, he decided to walk away from the game, leaving him seeking purpose, identity and community. This transition propelled him on a journey of deep healing and self-discovery. He gave his possessions to charity, adopted a dog, and traveled nomadically in his van across the US for 2 years in search of an answer to the deeper meanings of life. This quest led him toward a wide array of healing modalities including yoga and plant medicine.     Open Relating as a Means to Understanding the Self w/ Megan Bhatia | TAF//06

    Megan Bhatia and I met a while back at Soltara Healing Center in Costa Rica, and instantly recognized our shared curiosities surrounding many aspects of the human experience. We had so many interesting conversations that I really wanted to bring her on the podcast to dive into some of these topics. Megan views everything through the lens of relationship, and she has a fascinating framework surrounding the complexity of the word "relating" itself. Everything exists only in relationship. Though we discuss polyamory on this episode, the overall concept of relating we dive into extends far beyond romantic relationship. Relating with other people, things, circumstances, emotions, etc., is always a means to relating deeper to ourselves. In the first part of this episode, we discuss the infinite nuances of what the word "relating" actually can mean when we bypass cultural norms, and Megan's nuanced personal experience with polyamory. Later in the episode, we pivot to other topics including the Law of One, the fascia's role in connecting the mind and body, processing emotions, the educational system, and how all of these things circle back to relating.     DMT: Molecular Biotechnologies and Interdimensional Intelligences w/ Andrew Gallimore | TAF//05

    On this episode of The Ancient Futurist Podcast, I sit down with Dr. Andrew Gallimore for a psychedelic conversation that won't disappoint. We deep dive on the fascinating and mysterious world of DMT, discussing the importance of furthering our understanding of encounters with extradimensional intelligences, emerging technologies designed to map out the psychedelic worlds, and the neurochemistry and pharmacology of DMT. Andrew and I share a deep recognition of the importance of understanding psychedelics as biotechnologies which allow us to access other facets of reality and expand our understanding of both the human brain and the cosmos. He is the author of a range of articles and research papers on the science of psychedelic drug action, as well as two books: 'Alien Information Theory: Psychedelic Drug Technologies and the Cosmic Game' and the recently released 'Reality Switch Technologies: Psychedelics as Tools for the Discovery and Exploration of New Worlds'.     The Mind, Body, Breath Connection w/ Steven Jaggers | TAF//04

    As a society, we are beginning to recognize a widespread disconnection from our bodies and nervous systems. After a few episodes that largely revolved around understandings of the mind and consciousness, I was excited to sit down with Steven Jaggers to dive into the innate intelligence and 'hidden' mechanisms within the body. From anxiety medications and antidepressants, to things as simple as comfort foods, we often tend to reach for external ways to regulate our nervous systems....forgetting that we always possess what is potentially the most potent regulation tool for the job: the breath. On this episode, we discuss the science of breathwork, how and why to activate the parasympathetic versus sympathetic nervous systems, the similarities between breathwork and psychedelic experiences, and more. While awareness of this field is rapidly growing, I'd say it's still far from common knowledge. When they become common knowledge, these modalities just might revolutionize many aspects of health.     The Law of One: Defining God & Infinity w/ Jim McCarty | TAF//03

    This very special episode of the podcast features Jim McCarty, one of the three people responsible for the Law of One material - a framework of reality like no other I've discovered. There are many different things that can be gathered and contemplated from the information within this material. It ties together the teachings of quantum physics, astrophysics, non-dual mystical traditions, consciousness, various aspects of spirituality, and so much more. Ultimately, it's an entire system through which to view reality and existence, without relying on dogma, fable, and metaphor the way many well-known frameworks or philosophies do.  The Law of One, also known as the Ra material, is a set of transcripts that were recorded over 3 years in 1981-1984. This body of work is the result of three people, Don Elkins, Carla Rueckert, and Jim McCarty developing a protocol to initiate contact with extraterrestrial intelligences. The process through which this was achieved was refined over a period of more than 10 years before the Ra contact was established. Don was a physics professor at the University of Louisville. He became fascinated with UFOs in the 1950's and began researching and speaking with UFO contactees. Don initiated a group experiment, starting with 12 of his physics students, and spent years further developing the techniques. This process eventually led to the Ra contact. This episode covers this backstory (be sure to watch the intro). Before finding this material and committing to understanding it, there was no one who could've convinced me of the authenticity of any "channeled" works. That said, I implore you to listen closely, with an open mind. If you do so and resonate with it, I'm confident you'll come to the same conclusion I did: it is so profound, that the origin is less important than the information itself. The Law of One transcripts are direct question/answer sessions with Ra, who used extremely concise language to describe the various aspects of reality in response to Don's highly intelligent line of questioning. That said, the language is so dense and precise that it often requires serious commitment, contemplation, and visualization to grasp the underlying meaning.   The intention of this podcast is to begin to break some of the concepts down into simpler language to make it more digestible and less of a commitment for people who find that to be helpful.   Despite covering a good bit, Jim and I barely scratched the surface in this episode. I ultimately consider it to be an intro - we are releasing a part two (and likely more) soon.     5-MeO-DMT: Remembering Intelligent Infinity w/ Joel Brierre | TAF//02

    5-MeO-DMT is considered by many to be the most reliably profound and paradigm-shifting psychedelic compound. It consistently produces reality-shattering experiences of total oneness with all that is - a total loss of one's sense of subject/object relationship with reality. The mind seems to expand into infinity and the nature of consciousness itself becomes apparent as an often undeniable felt sense. This experience often produces the remembrance of a jarring, yet self-evident Truth - one alluded to by countless ancient cultures. Joel Brierre is the Founder and CEO of the psychedelic wellness companies Kaivalya Kollectiv and Tandava Retreats. He's been deeply involved in the modern psychedelic movement, specifically in the realm of 5-MeO-DMT and the Bufo Alvarius toad. His approach of applying non-dual yogic philosophy as geography for the entheogenic experience offers a comprehensive framework navigate it.
