The really proud peacock and the wishing tree.



In a forest, there lived a really beautiful peacock. He is very proud of himself and his beautiful tail. All the other animals don’t want to be friends with him because of his selfishness and pride. His name was Fancy.

One day, Fancy went exploring in the forest. He met a lion with his 3 cubs, “Hahaha!” He said. “You are the king here, but you are not as beautiful as me and my feathers!”

Soon, the lion got really angry and told his cubs to attack Fancy, he was scared. However, the cubs didn’t stand any chance, because Fancy then flew up into the sky and escaped the forest. This made him even more proud.

Fancy then escaped the forest and flew to the meadow. There, a mommy rabbit was watching her baby play.

Then, Fancy hid inside the bush, so that the mommy rabbit could not see him, he waited for the right time.

Then, when the mommy rabbit hid in the burrow, Fancy took the baby rabbit’s toy carrot. “Give me my toy back!” The baby rabbit said. “You don’t deserve to have it!” Fancy said to the baby rabbit. “After all, you’re not as beautiful as I am!” Fancy threw the baby rabbit’s toy. It broke, and the baby rabbit cried and ran to her mom.

Fancy didn’t want to get caught, so he flew as fast as he could.

It was almost sunset and Fancy met a parrot on his way back home.

“Look!” Said the parrot. “We both have colourful feathers!”



“But my tail is more beautiful than yours! Not to mention, it has more colours! You only have red, blue and green on your feathers!”

That made the parrot broken-hearted. And he cried, knowing how mean Fancy was.

It’s already bedtime and Fancy was tired, he went to sleep. He thought no one would get revenge from him, but he was wrong.

The parrot, the lion, the mommy rabbit and her child all gathered around a campfire, “Fancy the peacock only cares about himself.” Said the lion, sadly, “He even bullied my mane.”

“Yes, you’re right!” Said the mommy rabbit. “He even made my child cry…..”

“He broke my toy…” Sniffed the baby rabbit.

“He said his feathers are more beautiful than mine!” Said the parrot.

“I think it’s time to teach him a lesson!” Said the lion.

“Yes, what a great idea!” Said the mommy rabbit.

Just then, a wolf appeared,his fur was as white as snow, but this wolf isn’t like any other wolf, he is kind and helpful.

“I will!” Said the wolf. “I know the way to the wishing tree! It’s a magical tree that will do anything we request it!”

“Everyone, hide!” Said the Mommy rabbit. “There’s a wolf!”

The animals ran away and hid under the ground.

“Come, out!” Said the kind wolf. “I’m not going to hurt you!”



“Are you sure?” said the lion, as he was about to attack.

“Yes, I’ll help you….” The wolf told the animals.

“Ok!” Said the Mommy rabbit.

The wolf led the animals to the wishing tree.

“How can I help?”The talking tree asked.

“Fancy the peacock thinks that he is the best, only because he has beautiful feathers.” Said the parrot. “We need to teach him a lesson.”.......



........Since then, Fancy is not arrogant and selfish anymore.
