The second guest is Dr Niall Geoghegan, Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Dynamic Imaging at WEHI, researching how the malaria causing parasite, Plasmodium, invades red blood cells and initiates the symptomatic stage of disease, and Dr Natalia Sampan from the Centre for Innate Immunity and Infectious Diseases at the Hudsons Institute, talking about how our cells detect that they have been infected, and how they fight back.
