Are Catholics Sealed With the Holy Spirit During Confirmation? (253)

Revealing The True Light with Mike Shreve

It is believed in Catholicism that during the sacrament of Confirmation, the seal of the Holy Spirit is imparted, completing the work of salvation that begins at baptism. A Catholic bishop lays hands on each candidate, commands this ‘sealing’ to take place, and a new name (the name of a patron saint) is conferred. Does this supernatural impartation actually take place or is it just another religious ritual?
