Welcome back to another episode of The Ageless Factor podcast, where we dive deep into the power of mindset, the magic of believing in oneself, and the transformative effects of asking yourself this one question : “what else is possible” for me, in this situation, in my life …especially as it relates to aging. At 77, I'm here to shatter the conventional notions about aging and guide you toward a more vibrant, purposeful, and limitless second act of life. And today, we are exploring a technique I hold dear: the power of "cancel, cancel, cancel" to combat aging stereotypes and self-defeating thoughts. As we age chronologically, it's crucial to differentiate that from biological aging. Our society is quick to bind us to beliefs that as we grow older, decrepitude is inevitable—be it joint pains, financial struggles, or loneliness. I say, cancel those thoughts! Instead, breathe into your fears, hold them for a count of five, and release them into the universe. This simple practice helps in not just alleviating immediate stress but also reroutes our mental state towards exploring endless possibilities. The highlight of today’s discussion was undoubtedly the exploration of the mind-body connection and how our subconscious beliefs significantly influence our physical health and emotional well-being. Following my cancer operation, rather than resigning to pain, I actively sought out solutions like peptides and collagen supplements, reducing my discomfort significantly and improving joint mobility. Remember, every thought we harbor crafts our reality. If we dwell on negative aging stereotypes, our bodies and minds will follow suit. Instead, if we focus on rejuvenation, vitality, and possibilities, that's what will manifest. Our brains and bodies are incredible machines capable of remarkable regeneration, provided we feed them the right thoughts. Lastly, we ventured into the realm of epigenetics and the profound impact our environment and prenatal experiences have on us. Understanding and healing these deep-seated imprints can liberate us from past limitations, enabling us to live a fully realized and vibrant life. If today’s episode resonated with you, remember to tap into your youthful spirit, challenge the status quo of aging, and continuously ask yourself— ”what else is possible”?
