Art of Action Episode 11 - Journaling

Art of Action Episode 11 - Journaling

"We should pay at least as much attention inwards as we do outwards."

Journaling gives clarity; the ability to see your thoughts as objects rather than abstract. In this episode, we discuss how we journal and all it's beautiful benefits for us. Writing is the key to our personal growth. Journaling allows us "to have a conversation with ourselves" as the Stoics would say.

Art of Action Guest Series Episode 6 - Personal Growth and Leadership with Ed Honn

Art of Action Guest Series Episode 6 - Personal Growth and Leadership with Ed Honn

Hosted by Aaron Del Bosque: Today I got to sit down with my good friend and fellow student of leadership, Ed Honn, to discuss his philosophy for personal growth, leadership, and reading for self improvement. My blueprint for personal growth lies in creating and maintaining healthy habits for incremental improvement - the 1% growth mindset. More specifically, the foundational habits to me would be reading, journaling, and reflection - creating a vicious cycle of conversation; conversations with those in the past (reading), conversations with yourself (journaling), and focusing on yourself in the present (reflection). Much like personal growth, leadership is also a habit; a skill you master. But it begins with you. I hope you enjoy today's episode as much as I did recording it.

Art of Action Episode 9 - Self Love

Art of Action Episode 9 - Self Love

When loving another, it is our duty to be fair and honest - that is magnified tenfold for yourself.

Self love requires humility and understanding. It is for yourself, for others. Or rather, so you may love others. In this episode, we discuss self love, what it means to us, and why it is important. Like traffic, we must know ourselves and be honest with our intentions - how we would like to grow as human beings - so we may set our GPS on the right destination. On our journey of self love, we may veer off course, be delayed, slowed, or even lost. But we may always reset our GPS and re-route so as to find ourselves again.

Wonderful, amazing, powerful.

While I feel like I may always be looking outwards and reaching towards the next best thing that can make me a better person, this podcast has helped me look into myself. It is reaffirming what I have always known: I need to give myself the love I deserve so that I may grow. Thank you Aaron and Jacob for these wonderful conversations that have continued to help me delve into my soul and find that strength and mindfulness.
