70: ABCs for Financial Independence with Lisa Paniccia

Lisa Paniccia is the author of the book "ABCs for Financial Independence." Being first-generation American meant knowing the realities of building a financially stable life from the ground up.

Lisa worked for the Nasdaq Stock Market for over a decade. She's been financially independent for two decades. She's managed her own finances for over three decades.

In line with her own "just give me the summary version" character, "ABCs for Financial Independence" is a quick read with realistic information and ideas, presented in a fun and positive manner.

69: The Ultimate Guide to Finding a Financial Advisor with Matt Kweller (Part 2 of 2)

69: The Ultimate Guide to Finding a Financial Advisor with Matt Kweller (Part 2 of 2)

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional Matt Kweller discusses what a financial planner is and does, how to determine if and when you should enlist one, and what you can do to prepare yourself for meeting with an advisor. We also discuss what a financial plan is, as well as what the fees and minimums are to work with a planner long term or meeting with them one time to create a custom financial plan. Part 2 of 2.

The goal with this two-part series is to create the best resource available for anyone wondering if they should get a financial planner. This can be a guide you can refer back to time and time again. I’ve already re-listened to this interview twice and I’ll likely refer back to it many times.

Matt and I chatted for over two hours. Instead of having one long two-hour episode, I decided to make it a two-part series.

Matt Kweller is a Senior Private Client Advisor at People’s United Advisors, formerly Gerstein Fisher in Midtown Manhattan. After graduating Penn State University, he spent four years at Vanguard working to launch their hybrid digital advice solution, Personal Advisor Services. Matt is an active volunteer with Family Reach, providing pro bono financial planning services to Cancer Patients and a member of the Financial Planning Association of New York metro chapter.

Important for All Artists and Everyone to Listen to

Artists have strange relationships to money, and empowering ourselves with financial knowledge is how we get to keep doing our art. It’s so great to hear business advice from amazing professionals.

Simply Unbelievable

Much Like a TapDancing Turtle this podcast is unbelieveable.

My years in The Arts has always had me stressed when it comes to finance and this show is an amazing asset to be able to allow the next generation to lean on the wisdom and knowledge of people who are beyond succeeding!

You’re onto something!

Love this podcast and its host! Really interesting to listen to the perspective of various artists in all fields. I’m a music director and an educator. Most students I work with do not know much about the business of the business.
