Ways We Meet Each Other’s Needs

Ways We Meet Each Other’s Needs

Hey, fam! Thank you so much for tuning in! We are honored you’re here, and pray this episode brings some encouragement to you as you navigate what it looks like to serve one another and meet each other’s needs in a relationship. For men, we tend to be more problem-solving-focused and seek to be “Mr. Fix-It” when our significant other wants to be heard and validated more often than not. And for women, we sometimes feel like our significant other doesn’t listen or take what we say to heart, leaving us frustrated and feeling misunderstood. Thankfully, God’s Word gives us principles to adhere to while we discover what it means to serve our spouses and meet their needs. God bless you!

    Verse of the Day:
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.”

Being Who Your Family Needs You to Be featuring Chad Masters

Being Who Your Family Needs You to Be featuring Chad Masters

You asked, and we delivered. Y’all have been loving the Girl Talk segments so much, that you requested a spin-off to feature a man’s perspective on some of these topics of family and marriage as well. So Jordan sat down with one of his good friends, Chad Masters, to share a little perspective on what it means to be intentional in your family’s life as the man of the house. We couldn’t think of a better guest to have on to discuss being who God has called you to be! If you are a guy listening to this, first off—mad props to you for agreeing to watch with your wife/fiancée/girlfriend lol. We pray this episode encourages you to keep seeking the role God would have you play in your family’s lives. And if you are one of the ladies tuning in, we’d love your feedback as well on if we should do a part 2 and/or occasionally cover other topics from a guy’s perspective. Be sure to follow Chad and his wife, Tori on YouTube and Instagram, and tune into their daily devotional podcast, Mornings with the Masters where they share Biblical encouragement and wisdom to help you grow in your devotion to the Lord. Also, keep an eye out for their new show, That’s H.O.T. podcast, where Chad and Tori have Honest, Open, and Transparent conversations with other guests on where faith meets real life. Blessings to you, friends!

Girl Talk: Being Who Your Family Needs You to Be featuring Kirsten Watson

Girl Talk: Being Who Your Family Needs You to Be featuring Kirsten Watson

Hey fam! Today’s episode is such a special one! We were honored to have Kirsten Watson join Milena to talk all things family, motherhood, and sometimes needing to slow down to ensure Christ remains central in our lives. As a mom of seven kids, wife of a professional athlete and cohost of a popular podcast, Kirsten is often asked by other women, “How do you do it?” They see her with her hands full and wonder, What keeps her going—and smiling—with everything she’s juggling? Kirsten’s answer begins with a simple first step: take a breath. The second step is also simple: lean in and understand that the Word of God gives us the breath we need to handle every situation because when we inhale God’s Word, we exhale peace. Be on the lookout for Kirsten’s new book—Sis, Take a Breath: Encouragement for the Woman Who’s Trying to Live and Love Well (but Secretly Just Wants to Take a Nap)—available everywhere on May 3rd, 2022.

    Verse of the Day:

    Replacing Worry with Peace

It’s as if God gave us daily reasons to trust in Him for our peace and and not in our circumstances. Join us as we unpack some practical application from Scripture about how we can experience “peace that surpasses all understanding.” Also, leave a prayer request in the comments regarding something you are worried/anxious about and we will be praying for you. Rapid Fire Q&A

Well, we tried to be as quick as possible with these questions while still trying to do them justice, but like most things--it all depends on the length of Jordan's ranting (LOL). We SO appreciate everyone's input and pray you are encouraged by today's episode!

Milca R ,

It’s the growth for me!

I’ve been watching Milena on YouTube since she was a newlywed and the podcast did not exist. I am so amazed at her growth and constant surrender to Jesus. It’s been so beautiful to see her depth with the Lord continue to increase and her desire to learn and lean into Holy Spirit has been incredible! Jordan brings in a lot of biblical wisdom and insight while Milena balances things out with relatable stories and practical advice! Listening to them bicker like an old married couple is both hilarious and my favorite, lol. One of their most recent guests, Esther, really brought it and I enjoyed listening to Milena’s take on the topics discussed as well. That has been my favorite podcast so far! Anyway, listen in and join the fun! There’s lots to take away from this podcast.
