I know lice checks can be kind of painful and can also irritate the scalp. So because of that after the lice check, I’ll give you a relaxing scalp massage to soothe your scalp.     Hellolololololo my beautiful butterfly 🦋✨ Well hello there! Welcome to the nurse’s office. What can I help you with today? Oh, you need an eye exam? No worries, Nurse Azlin got you covered! Are you having any issues with your vision? Oh, just a regular checkup, gotcha. Well take a seat and allow Nurse Azlin to take care of you. This eye exam is super simple and most of my students find it to be a relaxing experience. First, let me check you in since you’re a walk in and we’ll get started. Once you’re all checked in, I’ll start by checking the health of your eyes with a light followed by an eye chart test. This is to check your vision and how well you see things. Then I’ll follow up with a peripheral/follow my instructions test. This test is to gauge your peripheral vision and how well you see things entering or exiting your line of vision. After this, I have 2 tests left: a light test and color test. These tests are to see how well your eyes react to light and how accurately you see color respectfully. I know these eye tests seem to be a lot, but these are super simple and quick to do, and you’ll be done in no time. After I run these tests, I’ll go over your results and add them to your student portal online. These results will also be emailed to your student email and your parents’/guardians' email. Here’s your hall pass back to class and have a great rest of your day! As your school nurse, I’m so sorry to hear that you’re experiencing hearing issues. No need to worry I’ve got you covered! Just sit back, relax, and allow me to take care of you. I’ll start by checking you into your appointment, then start the ear cleaning process. Most of my students find the ear cleaning to be relaxing, so don't worry about any discomfort during the ear cleaning process. Next, I'm going to follow up with a series of audio/hearing tests to make sure your hearing has improved or it’s back to normal. All of your results will be in your student portal account under your student ID and student email, a copy of your results will be forwarded to your parents/guardians as well. I hope your hearing is much better now, and if you need anything else from me please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ll be doing your hair and scalp analysis, lice check and removal, lice treatment, and scalp massage. This scalp checkup will require plucking, picking, scratching, and parting of your scalp. I’ll be as gentle as possible, but please don’t hesitate to let me know if you’re experiencing any discomfort. This session should be painless and actually quite relaxing.
