    Welcome to Attraction Checklist.
This episode we visit Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to experience the Swiss Family Treehouse.
The guide map describes this attraction saying, “Explore the treehouse inspired by the classic Disney film.”
There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and there is no Thrill Level notes.
Before we start climbing stairs, here are five fast facts about the Swiss Family Treehouse at Magic Kingdom.
    1. Swiss Family Treehouse is an Magic Kingdom opening day attraction, opening with the park on October 1, 1971.
    2. The treehouse is based on the 1960 Walt Disney film Swiss Family Robinson.
3.The summit of the treehouse is 6 stories high and guests must climb 116 stairs to reach it!
    4. While the tree looks very real, it is actually made up of steel, concrete and stucco.
    5. There are 330,000 leaves on the Swiss Family Treehouse and each one is fabricated to withstand the weather and winds so they don’t fall off the tree.
Let’s climb the Swiss Family Treehouse.  Joining me today is John B. deHaas and after our adventures we’ll give you our thoughts on this attraction.  This is a binaural recording so if you have headphones put them on now as we experience Swiss Family Treehouse at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

Peter Pan's Flight - Magic Kingdom - Walt Disney World

Peter Pan's Flight - Magic Kingdom - Walt Disney World

http://www.attractionchecklist.com - Come with John and I as we head towards the second star to the right and straight on ’til morning!  We’re headed to Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to ride Pete Pan’s Flight on this episode of Attraction Checklist!  Attraction audio recorded on July 15, 2022.
    TRANSCRIPT:
    Welcome to Attraction Checklist.
This episode we ride Peter Pan’s Flight at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and the guide map describes the ride saying, “Fly with Peter Pan aboard a magical ship.”  The thrill level describes Peter Pan’s Flight as a slow ride with small drops.
Before we visit Never Land, here are five fast facts about Peter Pan’s Flight at Magic Kingdom.
    1.  Peter Pan’s Flight opened at Magic Kingdom on October 3, 1971, two days after the park opened.
    2. When Peter Pan’s Flight opened at Magic Kingdom it followed a similar design as Peter Pan’s Flight at Disneyland in California, even reusing some of the same sounds from that attraction.  The Magic Kingdom version featured added scenes and used Audio-Animatronic figures.  (As a note: we rode and reviewed Peter Pan’s Flight at Disneyland in episode 85 of Attraction Checklist.
    3. Captain Hook’s pirate ship in this attraction is a whopping 48 feet long.
    4. In 2014, the ride’s queue area was upgraded to make is seem you are walking through the Darling’s Nursery.  The queue now features interactive elements and appearances by Tinker Bell.
    5. As you fly through the Nursery at the beginning of the ride, keep an eye out for a pile of children’s block that spell out: Disney.
Let’s ride Peter Pan’s Flight!  John B. deHaas joins me once again and we’ll give you our thoughts on this attraction after we ride.  If you have headphones, put them on now as we ride Peter Pan’s Flight at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!

Hall of Presidents 2022 - Magic Kingdom

Hall of Presidents 2022 - Magic Kingdom

    http://www.attractionchecklist.com -
Let’s head to Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to check out the latest version of The Hall of Presidents on this episode of Attraction Checklist.  Attraction audio recorded on July 15, 2022.
    TRANSCRIPT:
    Welcome to Attraction Checklist.
This episode we visit Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World to check out the latest updates to The Hall of Presidents.
The guide map describes this attraction saying, “Behold all the U.S. Presidents on stage together.”
There are no age or height requirements for this attraction and there is no Thrill Level notes.
Now, The Hall of Presidents is the one attraction at Magic Kingdom that you can count on to get updated every 4 to 8 years.  This is the third time we’ve visited it on this Attraction Checklist so we may not have 5 fast facts, but here are a few fast facts about the latest version of this attraction.
In January 19 2021, The Hall of Presidents was closed for refurbishment.  On July 19, 2021, Disney announced that President Joe Biden would be added to the attraction and the attraction itself reopened on August 3, 2021.  The film The Idea of a President that had debuted in the previous version of the attraction, remained.  Keeping with tradition, President Joe Biden voiced his animatronic figure but in a departure from previous versions, the President Biden figure only recites the Oath of Office and does not give a follow up speech.
Let’s go visit The Hall or Presidents.  Joining me today is John B. deHaas and after the show we’ll give you our thoughts on this attraction.  This is a binaural recording so if you have headphones put them on now as we experience The Hall of Presidents at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

Before we head off to the big premiere, here are five fast facts about Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
    1.  Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway was first announced at D23 in July 2017.  The attraction opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on March 4, 2020, replacing the iconic The Great Movie Ride Attraction.

    TRANSCRIPT:

The guide map describes this attraction saying, “Team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy on an intergalactic race through space and time.”
Guests must be 42” or wallet to ride and the thrill level describes the attraction as being a Thrill Ride in the Dark.

    2. The attraction is build on the site of the former Ellen’s Energy Adventure attraction which we covered on Episode 31 of this show.  That ride was built in the former Universe of Energy show building and that show building was reused and retrofitted for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind thought the bulk of the attraction is housed in a giant blue show building behind the Universe of Energy building.
    3.  Much like Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout at Disney California Adventure which we covered in episode 32 of Attraction Checklist, guests riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, guests hear one of six different songs.  The possible songs are "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire, “Disco Inferno" by the Trammps, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears”, One Way or Another" by Blondie, “I Ran (So Far Away)" by A Flock of Seagulls and “Conga" by Gloria Estefan
    4. Composer Tyler Bates, who scored the Guardians of the Galaxy films created more than two hours on new music for the attraction and he even put in a little nod to the original Universe of Energy song.
    5. On June 23, 2022, it was announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind would receive a Christmas Overlay with a mash-up of seasonal songs.
Let’s go save the planet with the Guardians of the Galaxy.  Joining me today is John B. deHaas and, as mentioned at the top of the show, we’re going to go for two rides and we’ll review them both so stay tuned for that.  This is a binaural recording so if you have headphones put them on now as we ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT
