Great!

John Roberts in fielding questions by then Chariman of the Judiciary, Arlen Spector, gave profound answers to questions on precedents (stare decisis). You can learn alot about our judicial system by listening to this trial.

A Living Breathing Civics Lesson

Judge (Now Chief Justice) Roberts did a masterful job fielding questions on the role of the judiciary vs. the executive and legislative branches. In the 230 plus years of the United States, there have been 44 presidents and only 17 Chief Justices of the Supreme Court. Every young person should listen to these hearings in their entirity.

Great Listening

The John Roberts Confirmation Hearings are an awesome tool for learning about the process of confirming our Supreme Court Nominees and for learning a history of the Supreme Court and how our laws are interpreted. I admit this might be for the C-Span junkies but for history teachers and students of history this is a fantastic listening experience.
