    Episode 1: Where are we?

Arizona is a name that evokes images in everyone's minds, but where did that name come from? We explore the possible Spanish, Native American, Basque and even Aztec roots for the word and how it's all wrapped up in a 1736 discovery of silver in Mexico. As an added bonus, we also learn what "Connecticut" means.

This series s/b called when the Settlers stole AZ

Totally skirted the fact that Indigenous People have their own history in Arizona and were on this land prior to Europeans or others arrival. “Now we can finally start talking about the history of Arizona”. Even a brief land acknowledgment would have sufficed. smdh
