Sleep With Me

Accept no zzzubstitutes! Back in the day, my buds would come over to hang and I would invariably be snoozing which lead to the nickname Sleep King. I hardly earned that like Scoots has gently and consistently risen to the top of the heap of fluffy mattresses of (almost, nearly, usually) effortless sleep. I’ve been a listener since the first wave of press back in 2013 and have enjoyed countless extra hours of sleep which yes, does feel worth $5, $10, $? a month in support on Patreon and here. I confess I keep trying other sleep apps. But after tossing and turning and getting annoyed, I keep coming back to Sleep With Me, and I almost always fall asleep halfway through the episode. Sometimes I don’t even make it through the whole Introduction! There is something about Scoot’s voice that blocks out the train of thoughts in my mind, and lets me drift off. If you haven’t listened to this podcast before, I highly recommend giving it a try. You have nothing to lose but insomnia

it’s hard to put into words the effect this podcast has had in my life. i have problems with sleep for a whole host of reasons, but after my long distance partner left to go back home it was especially bad. enter scooter. he talks me to sleep every night, making me feel safe and secure in a way i haven’t experienced since my partner was here. i am so thankful i found sleep with me! also, this may seem unremarkable to some, but it really means a lot to me that he starts his greeting with “friends beyond the binary”. so often we are just the afterthought thrown into the end of the phrase “ladies and gentlemen”, but scooter puts us first. it’s a tiny little thing that makes me feel so welcome and important!!!
