Brad and Erin are Everything!

I am neither an educator nor a band kid. Yet I enjoy every single minute of this podcast. Brad and Erin’s infectious humor and positivity can brighten the worst commute. It’s a show about band. But it’s also a show about life. Everyone will find something relatable. Can’t wait for the next episode! And forever jealous of Erin’s shoe collection.

Life lessons even for non-band people

Such a fun podcast! Hosts and colleagues Erin Holmes and Bradley Mariska have such a great time on this show, and I love to laugh along with them. At the same time, they are providing such sound advice every single episode. I love podcasts and listen to a lot of them - most at 1.5x speed. This one is best enjoyed at 1x speed because I don’t want to miss a thing!! Highly recommend everyone listen - whether you’re in the band world or not!

Episode 38

Hosts Brad and Erin were engaging and delightful to listen to during my commute. I enjoyed hearing them share their love of their profession. The interview between host Brad and guest Jon was insightful, exploring an area not traditionally tapped into for supporting students. These two teachers connected a core subject (history) with an elective (musical theater) to make a super course on the popular musical Hamilton. Not only did they connect the departments but they also combined their instruction as they team-taught the class. This dynamic duo's collaborative process also includes work outside the school walls and onto the football field where each leads a "team" that supports the work of the other. I applaud the work of these two educators and hope their students recognize the deeper meaning being modeled for them. I considered deducting one star from my review because neither Brad nor Jon acknowledged me as their common denominator, establishing the cosmic connection that would ultimately put this whole process in motion but decided not to be petty.
