Battleship Pretension Tyler Smith & David Bax

Battleship Pretension is a podcast that represents the kind of conversations that film geeks have when they get together. There are strong opinions, in-jokes, obscure references, and wild tangents. And, since Tyler and David are two of the sharpest wits ever fused together, there are laughs aplenty.

Better than ever!
I’ve listened to your show for a decade now, and it’s better than ever. David, your taste in music especially has introduced me to so much. Tyler, I’m praying for you! Stay strong and keep being you.
Good discussions but very amateur
I love the discussions of films on this show but the main host is an empirically not great public speaker. So many UHMMMS and UHHHS. He could benefit from a public speaking or broadcast course because it makes the show borderline unlistenable. The TIFF episode is a good example of this. It sounds like public TV at 1am. Is the host aware that he’s recording this for public consumption? Seriously—the content is so good and the execution is so, so bad.
My favorite podcast
Tyler and David are the best!
