Incredible and important

I am so grateful for this podcast. Not only is it special because of its topics/message but because it is paves the way for MORE podcasts that are from the voice of Black BCBAs. We are all constantly disappointed at the erasure of the voices of BIPOC in all aspects but even so in the field of ABA. For me my clients are diverse in color and social economic status, but why is it that the provides just absolutely aren’t. I am so grateful for this podcast as a poc and as someone who often feels betrayed by this field and it’s racist/ableist roots. I didn’t need to be reminded of the importance of taking our voice back, but it brings me so much hope. I am so grateful that I stumbled upon this podcast in a time when I have been feeling great anxiety rooting from the ableism, racism, sexism, and other problems in this field. I have been nervous about associating myself with this field but I’m glad that this podcast reminded of a greater community that is not just white toxicity in ABA.

I come to this podcast to continue to expand my repertoire of subjects I may not know much about. I appreciate how real and honest it is.
The Future of Behavior Analysis is Bright
13/12/2020
I am a student of behavior analysis who will be working to transition into clinical practice within the next year. As I’ve gained more experience in my supervision and through my VCS, questions about ethics, social justice, and doing best by my future clients are the most common ones currently popping up. This podcast shows me that while we are an established practice and science, these questions are ever-present and the answers to them live with every decision we make as a field. Knowing there are voices out there to help guide us in doing justice by our clients makes me hopeful for our field. This is a new favorite of mine— Thank you, Denisha and Arin! PS - One thing I would like to see improvement on with the podcast is the sound editing. The volume of all the speakers on the podcast can vary quite a bit, so I am constantly turning up and turning down the volume when listening to be able to hear everyone. I know that’s sometimes difficult when calling in guests depending on their recording equipment, but if there is a way to equalize the volume of all the speakers, it would definitely improve my listening experience!
