    35: Solar Eclipse Magic

In preparation for the upcoming total solar eclipse this episode is all about the magic and wonder of solar eclipses. Though typically spellwork is not recommended during an eclipse we talk about the themes regarding shadow work and re-emerging from the underworld. I share a pre-eclipse ritual and sun/moon offering you can do to honor these themes. Happy eclipse! We will be on spring break now but will be back with a new episode after the summer solstice in June!

30: Garden Plans and Growing Magic

30: Garden Plans and Growing Magic

Gardens are inherently magical. The process of gardening or caring for plants puts you in tune with the natural cycles in your area, it brings your awareness to the details in nature around you, connecting you to the natural world. In this episode of Becoming Witchy Josh and I are having a casual chat about our garden plans for the year. Imbolc is a time when we start to see the first signs of spring and start to get excited for the growing season. This conversation is an expression of the excitement for all of the potential, possibilities, and magic of our garden this year.

Listened to the Episode on Art and Magic

It’s a crazy coincidence to hear the speaker talk about her love of ceramics and clay after finally giving into a sudden urge to play around with clay despite never really doing so in all my life.

The episode was eloquently spoken and is so refreshing when most content in the witchcraft world seems to lean so much into the aesthetic elements rather than the actual craft, creativity, and joy involved in the practice. The anecdote about the fingerprints of an artist surviving centuries on a piece of clay was so beautiful and really encapsulated the message of the episode. Even better was that it was really well spoken without being overly flowery and the fairly straight-to-the-point.

Love it!

I’m a long time gardener but a witch newbie! Kelly’s knowledge and gentle delivery make for a great resource! She is socially and culturally mindful. New and long time witches can benefit from Becoming Witchy!
