The Legacy of Michael Sanders: Reinventing the Wilcox Park Basketball Court
On Tuesday, September 18, 2017, GC welcomes Elizabeth Sanders to the show to discuss the legacy of her late husband, Michael.
Discussing the efforts put forth by Elizabeth and her team of friends, family, the Eastown Community Association and the MEDC to raise money to reinvent and update the Wilcox Park basketball court in honor of Michael Sanders, who passed away on July 26, 2016. A Patronicity campaign raised over $12,500 in just three days last week and will be matched by the MEDC.
Michael, an avid hooper and regular at Wilcox Park, grew up in the neighborhood. -
