Less than 24 hours after a potential deal with Kentucky's Mark Stoops fell apart, Texas A&M hired Duke coach Mike Elko (a former Aggies defensive coordinator) to replace Jimbo Fisher.
Meanwhile, Mississippi State hired Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby to replace Zach Arnett.
Indiana fired Tom Allen, paying him more than $15 million to not coach (and that was after negotiating the buyout down.
Houston also fired Dana Holgorsen, paying a $15 million that Holgorsen once deemed "impossible." Andy breaks down a trio of potential candidates for that job.
It's Sunday, so Andy gives you his resume ranking top 10. It looks an awful lot like the College Football Playoff selection committee's top 10, but Andy isn't sure the committee is closely examining the resumes of four 10-2 teams. The reason that matters is made clear in Andy's projected CFP and New Years Six matchups. One or two of those 10-2 teams will be left out of the NY6.
Next, Nick Roush of Kentucky Sports Radio joins to discuss the wild weekend for Mark Stoops. It began with a flirtation with Texas A&M, continued with an upset win against Louisville and ended with a decision that Texas A&M would look elsewhere and Stoops would continue making gobs of money at Kentucky.
Later, Spencer Holbrook of On3's Lettermen Row joins to discuss what happens next for Ohio State after a third consecutive loss to Michigan. The pressure is squarely on coach Ryan Day now.

Florida State SURVIVES The Swamp | Alabama's Prayer at Jordan-Hare | Michigan OUTLASTS Ohio State
Andy and Jesse Simonton break down all the action from a rivalry Saturday that wound up being mostly chalk -- but in the most dramatic way possible.
Florida State trailed in the fourth quarter but came back to win at Florida.
Alabama beat Auburn on a Jalen Milroe prayer on fourth-and-goal from the 34.
Michigan beat Ohio State without Jim Harbaugh and sent Ryan Day into a world of hurt.
Washington needed a walk-off field goal to beat Washington State.
Oklahoma State needed double overtime to beat BYU and secure a place in the Big 12 title game.
Georgia played sleepy but eventually beat Georgia Tech.
Iowa State and Kansas State played a wild Farmageddon in the snow.

My dude
I am on the road a ton and Andy is dude!!! I am a college football freak fanatic and is the Godfather of podcast in college football!!
The world doesn’t deserve ANDY STAPLES
Get a new cohost, respectfully.
Andy, I came to your show for you when it was at the athletic and just tolerated Ari. Now, I find myself listening to Ari and Ubben consistently and forgoing your show/listening and disliking it solely bc Simonton is not any good. I mean that with the least disrespect to him as possible.
Need a co-host
Andy is so good, but the format needs a co-host that can be a ying to his yang. Ari Wasserman worked so well with him because Andy had such a strong memory, whereas Ari is more goofy and outrageous. Ari’s hot takes on coaches, teams, or food meshed so well with Andy’s sharp insights. We need someone a little bit off the rails to bring out the best of Andy.
