    Manananggal

    Manananggal

The Manananggal is portrayed as frightening, frequently grotesque, typically presented as a female entity, and constantly possessing the ability to detach its upper torso, with its intestines trailing and unfurling enormous bat-like wings to soar into the night, hunting for its prey. It is rumored that the Manananggal has a preference for targeting slumbering, expectant women, employing an elongated proboscis-like tongue to extract fetuses or the blood of individuals in a state of repose. Good enough

Decent content, the research is fine(they get stuff wrong and misunderstand things from time to time), wish the episodes were longer(you really can't talk for longer than 30mins?). They don't try to be comedians but also aren't overly serious. Worth a cursory listen if you're into this kind stuff.

Authentic

I love the clear passion Tyler and Charlie have for this kind of stuff. Each episode feels genuine and it’s a lot of fun to listen to.

Manananggal episode

In the future, y’all should take into consideration that when you are talking about stories from a different culture, to learn how to pronounce words before confidently saying them in your podcast. It can be offensive to the people that come from that culture. Even if the intention is pure, the impaction is can be hurtful.
