Beyond The Cover
Real men having real conversations centered around mental health.
Beyond the Cover is also beyond fact checking

Clayton is dipping his toes into Men’s Rights Activism with his latest interview with Brandon. Even though Clayton was a victim to lies being spread about him through irresponsible platforms, Clayton wants his platform to also spread potential lies as long as it favors men. It is irresponsible to platform anyone whether they are telling the truth or not (his words) without doing his due diligence (because that isn’t his responsibility apparently). He wants to weaponize the very serious trauma that happened to him, against women. I hope Clayton can see he is just the other side of the coin he has been victim to. Either take this job seriously and actually fact check your guests and speak to other parties to get the full picture or find a different career because you clearly do not understand the weight of what you are doing. Clayton is not a professional licensed therapist and clearly hasn’t consulted with one for this podcast. Clayton, your experience of a woman lying and falsely accusing you is not universal, in fact it is rare. What is not rare, and is actually alarmingly common, is men abusing women. I hope Clayton can educate himself, consult with actual professionals, and demonstrate more care when handling these sensitive and important topics. Men should be able to share their feelings and be able to talk about their experiences. Abusive men should not. This was clearly an attempt to smear and twist the narrative as opposed to discussing mental health. I’m disappointed Clayton platformed it and thinks he has no responsibility to fact check his guests.
Yikes

Clayton, of all people, shouldn’t have this podcast. He needs serious therapy (from a professional!!!), and shouldn’t be out here pretending to be other people’s therapists. Ick.
