les go attachment types

Alexandra is like those one of those characters that show up in a later season of a TV sitcom and quickly becomes the fan favorite, there’s no imagining the gang without her. I do appreciate everyone else’s quirks and insights, I could just read a more organized summary of their thoughts online, but the group banter and chemistry is very fun to listen to. here’s to me being an attachment type forming a parasocial relationship with these broke nerds

I think this group touches on some interesting abstract ideas, but the idea of arriving at objective typings of people is pretty silly. I think what this group (and other groups like them) are doing is they’re choosing to identify as certain types (however inadvertently, through having other people in the group or experts type them), and in doing so, collectively placing themselves at a particular angle through which they’re viewing the illusory form of essence. But in placing themselves collectively at the same angle and getting more and more people on board, they’re creating the illusion that essences have objective form. I think this is what people who write about spiral dynamics mean by “green” creating an “orange bubble” for certainty. That’s not to say that their take on the enneagram isn’t fascinating – but it can only ever be a partial perspective. When you type people with a system that compares them in terms of a hierarchical ordering of numbers – that sort of truth can only ever occur from an orange perspective. Truth beyond green is more subtle…it doesn’t have the form of an orange objectivist system.
Floored

I've been reading and listening to everything I could find about the Enneagram and this podcast (group) has been the absolute best, by far! Inusive, hilarious, welcoming, direct, and best of all tons of naughty humor. The breadth of knowledge in this group is vast and it's still growing and evolving. Thank you, guys.
Not helpful to sincere discourse

I have never left a bad review for a podcast before, but I was prompted to after listening to five or six episodes from Big Hormone Enneagram. I found the hosts to be arrogant, divisive, and defensive, and I feel that there was much wasted opportunity for helpful discourse. I have no problem when they disagree with internationally renowned Enneagram teachers, but but would have really appreciated the opportunity to learn from an honest, respectful conversation, which they seem unable to facilitate. My honest review? It adds nothing to the conversation and isn’t worth your time.
