Playfully Faithful Parenting: Encouraging Christian Mamas to Disciple & Discipline with Play & Joy

I have so appreciated Joy and how she teaches on playful, faithful parenting. Sometimes both of those aspects of parenting feel overwhelming, especially play. I can feel very UNplayful. But then I come back here and listen some more, or again, and am reminded of both the why and how. She encourages me that I’m already doing it but also is helping me grow.

Okay… not even kidding when I say, Joy is the mom I DREAM of being someday! I absolutely love how she’s carrying out her calling for “spiritual parenting” - and teaching others to raise up their kids in the way of Jesus. Growing up in a non-Christian home, even though my mom studied early childhood education (and would talk about it a lot with me), I never had a biblical lens to view it through. Joy really knows how to integrate early childhood education and tactics WITH authentic faith and spiritual practices, and hearing all about them truly nourishes my soul. I’m not even a mom myself yet, but I could not stop listening to this podcast simply because there is SO much I can learn from it for when I do become a mom. Joy’s perspective on parenting and being present and playful with our children is such a breath of fresh air in a world that tempts us to view our children as only a responsibility or a burden. I feel so encouraged to slow down and ENJOY my child when I listen to her wisdom.

Seize the moment guys! Joy teaches us how to make a life long difference in our children’s life’s! Do it now, make your children and what goes into their minds a priority. Joy makes it easy and fun!
