"The Charge To Men" revisited
"The Charge To Men" has been a blessing to listen to, coming from a home where my possibly unsaved father didn't love my God-fearing mother. I am still single after graduating from Christian college a few years ago, not because I'm uninterested in marriage, but because I've struggled to recognize what a potential husband should look like. There were two things I didn't think were Biblical First, women are not excluded from being called to use their gifts of teaching in the church--the problem with Washer's wife, is that she knew God didn't want that from her, and she recognized that God only commanded older women to mentor younger women. Second, yes, men deserve respect. But coming from a home where my mother tried to respect my father, even after years of my father disrespecting my mother, I know that love is shown through respecting your spouse. This podcast, in all, has definitely helped me look at life with a Christ-centered perspective.
