Biking From Berkeley to Brazil - A Conversation with Peter Illetschko
Episode Notes
Today I have a conversation with Peter Illetschko.
Peter recently completed his book, "Cycle of Life" which documents his year long bicycle trip alongside his Capoeira martial arts crew from Berkely, California to Brazil (B2B).
The book is part memoir, part travel story, part comedic satire, and part social critique. In addition, it offers an insightful view into Capoeira's cultural richness and transformational power.
As we discuss in the show, Peter sees travel as a means of expanding intellectually, socially, and spiritually.
He's a man who's lived from a number of perspectives, and through our meandering tangents, I believe there is some value to be gained and utilized in our own lives.
As of this release, COVID-19 is in full swing. Please take care of yourself, your loved ones, and your community by staying home. It's an opportunity for us to reflect and connect with each other in a different way.
You can find Peter's book: "Cycle of Life: My year on a Bicycle with Mestre Acordeon" here on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1734300906/ref=cmswrcpapaigiuyEb3ENJSQE
