New Rich Tim Ferris defined the "New Rich" vs current high-income earner, coined lifestyle design, and digital nomad. The book talks about escaping 9-5, beat the rat race, and introduce 4 steps DEAL. - Define - Eliminate - Automate - Liberate Emphasizes strength, don't fix weaknesses to increase productivity Mini retirement : Retirement is a scam. Do not live life frugally just to reach retirement at old age. Take mini-retirement from 2 weeks to one month Parkinson Law : Set a short time frame and complete it 80/20 rules: spend 20% of your daily effort to achieve 80% of results Email Etiquette : Check your email at a specific time of the day. Off the email notifications as each notification pop up will take away your 7 seconds on attention span Meeting : stand up meeting so that everyone will state the main point and keep the meeting short Not stay back for OT : You are allowing yourself to be not productive during work hour. Your productivity will drop after a certain work hours Learn to say no : Be a NO-man and put back the focus back to what is important to you.
