Dark Star

Not a patron But I do have 2 Darkstar theories: 1.) He did kill Myrcella and that her cousin/look-a-like was scarred so she could be sent back as Myrcella. 2.) He is actually Oberyn’s male Bastard and was Doran’s new snake he is hiding in the grass. Darkstar betrayed Arianne to Doran then tried to force Doran’s hand to go to war by killing Myrcella and he succeeded in killing her but Doran wouldn’t let his plans be ruined by his daughter or Dark Star so a little girl must be scarred he still feels righteous but Myrcella did die under his protection all the same. Myrcella died a Queen at darkstar’s hand as maggy the prophecy states gold their crowns I think this means Cersei’s children will die monarchs. Tommen I think like in the show will die last and that Myrcella has been killed by the dornish in Dorne. I see Obara embracing Darkstar as a brother in revenge and killing Balon Swann.
Awful

Perhaps the least informed understanding of the Russian Revolution ever recorded. Given how bad it is, I cannot believe you on anything else now.

“Don’t read anything that will aid you in discerning the truth for yourself, and words mean what we say they mean.” Very trustworthy podcast.
Stefan is great.

Stefan is great. I like the content but also find many episodes to be perfect fall asleep background noise too, a nice quiet podcast.
The Unrivaled Authority of ASoIaF
02/07/2018
Not only do these two obviously love the source material and have some fantastic analysis on how the story reflects on the outside world, the way Sean and Stefan can reflect the outside world and current events back onto the story shows just how much care and thought is put into each podcast. If only more people were like Sean and Stefan.
Solid podcast, but could be better.

Sean T. Collins, when he decides to show up, and Stephan “I totally agree” Sasse do a great job analyzing ASOIF, GOT and other works. However, they too often seem to hold strong positions that are contrary to convention for the sake of having a unique take. Worse, they often seem to be in agreement on these bold arguments from the onset, leading to a lack of discourse and general self-indulgence. I feel this show would be greatly improved by the inclusion of a third host with a different perspective. Also, it is detrimental to pan voices hard left and hard right. There are any number of reasons why a member of the audience might be listening on a device that is not functionally stereo and also not summing to mono. For instance, listening with one earbud in place instead of two. In these circumstances, someone may hear only one side of the conversation and not the other. Panning slightly left and right gives both perceptible separation for stereo listeners and allows for single output listeners to hear both parties, albeit one louder than the other. I do enjoy the show, I just think it could be better.
Best analysis

These two guys are 100% the best critics and best analyzers out there. I mean one is a professional so you know it’s going to be smartly done. Enjoy when you do other topics like tv and Star Wars. Super cool. Trump is also an ahole.
Good not great

The two presenters have some great written thought pieces on GoT and the books. This felt a bit more like a lightly planned, "hey let's talk for an hour about a few bullet points." 3/4 opinion, 1/4 insight, but it's worth a listen.
Extraordinarily insightful

There's a ton of Game of Thrones/ASOIAF podcasts around. This one is, hands down, no questions, the best. Lots of podcasts exist that recap episodes or chapters, discuss theories about the books or show, and speculate about future events. But this podcast will make you smarter. It'll help you see the show and the books in a different and more nuanced light. Stefan and Sean are critics in the truest sense of the word, in that they provide critical and insightful analysis of the characters, plots, and larger themes of GOT/ASOIAF, as well as the broader world of entertainment. One of my favorite episodes is Episode 37, where they discuss theories about the books and the show. Most other podcasts or discussion boards talk about the what and the how of theories, but they never talk about why. How does the theory fit into the larger narrative? How does it contribute to the story, or reflect the larger themes that the author is playing with. Did you ever notice fascist themes in "The Walking Dead"? Me neither, but when Sean and Stefan unpack the themes of perpetual war and the glorification of strength and violence in TWD, you will too. They take this approach to everything they do. This podcast will help you see GOT/ASOIAF, and really any show or book, in a new and different light. You'll learn about the show and books, but you'll also learn how to understand new material in a new and different light. It's an absolute must-add if you're a fan of GOT or ASOIAF.
Great Show
