Board Game Impact

In the crowded field of board game podcasting, it can be difficult to stand out, but BGI hits the mark. Starting with sharing how board gaming has made their own lives better, Bruce and Josh extend the idea of "impact" to their communities as well as the interesting guests that they bring on. The reviews don't waste time with numerical grades or silly Top Ten lists. Instead, discussions of games are thoughtful and focus both on bleeding edge Hotness games and games that may not be designer retail anymore but are still good and still get played. **rarely off-topic if ever** Constructive criticism: Run-time could be tightened to under an hour. On a personal note, I met Bruce at BGG.Spring, and he is every bit as good a guy in person as he is as a host. Hope we get to play a game next time, Bruce.

Really love the focus on framing the impacts games can have on individuals and our society as a whole. I also love the broader approach to the hobby too!

I really enjoy Bruce’s reviews, it makes me want to buy the game as soon as the episode is over. He also brings on some cool guests and and it’s always fun to listen to their great conversations about the fantastic world of table top gaming and the community. These short podcasts have been great to fill the gaps between all of my other favorite podcasts.

I’m looking forward to future episodes. I like the theme and the focus on how gaming impacts our lives.
