Bobby Bostic. 241 Years to Freedom

West Coast Radio

*Note: the audio can get pretty rough in this episode. Really sorry about that.*

Bobby Bostic was just 16 years old in 1995 when he committed two robberies where thankfully no serious injuries occurred. Still, Bobby Bostic was sentenced to 241 years in prison by Judge Eveyln Baker with no opportunity for parole until Bobby turns 112 years old."If I knew then what I know now... I wouldn't have given him 241 years. But I didn't know then what I know now. When I sentenced Bobby, we had no knowledge of brain development... He was still a child. His brain had another 10 or more years to go before it was fully developed. I treated a 16 year old child like a 36 year old man and I say that is wrong." - Judge Evelyn Baker almost 25 years after sentencing Bobby Bostic. Miraculously, Bobby continued to work and hope until the world heard his story. Today he is free after 27 years of incarceration to tell his story to the audience of West Coast Radio. A story of resilience, hard work, discipline, and above all hope. Bobby is the author of many books which you can find on Amazon. Titles include, "Life Goes on Inside Prison", "Dear Mama: The Life and Struggles of a Single Mother" & "Time: Endless Moments in Prison".
