JusticeforBB said it perfectly in their review. Steven and Jared are a joy to listen to. I started this podcast in tandem with watching survivor for the first time. I’m about to be at TimeNow and will have to decide if I’m going to stay back with Jared or move forward.
Fine podcast

Overall the podcast is fine. The survivor content is great. Steven does a great job leading Jared to talk about predictions (which end up hilariously wrong a lot) The what’s going on the world bit is interesting. The political soapboxes are energetic and typically entertaining. The only issue is Jared occasionally comes off as bigoted and racist.

This podcast is all over the place in the best possible way. Truly a deep dive into what people love most about survivor while not being afraid to tackle tough issues. Also great fan involvement!
Wildly funny but at times infuriating

Hi guys! I found your podcast several months ago when looking for some more Survivor retrospective content and I’ve worked my way through most of your backlog (just finished Guatemala). I really enjoy your perspectives and takes on a lot of this really old content since I’ve been watching since age 10 in the year 2000. It really helps put some fresh eyes and views onto these old school seasons. But I do take issue with your ranking and opinion of some of the old winners, Ethan in particular. Several times you say he “did nothing/made no moves” which is patently false. He pioneered the strategy of throwing a challenge post swap to remove Silas the leader of the dominant Samburu alliance. Then post merge he led the charge to eliminate Brandon who was a pawn for Lex at that point. It seems like you tend to prefer flashy and overtly strategic mastermind types which is fine and all but maybe cut back on the blanket “Tina/Danni/Ethan did nothing to get the win/were lucky to win at all” when that is patently untrue as all of them made moves and bonds to ensure they make the end such as Tina finding out who on Kucha had past votes and creating an attitude of “the good people need to win this time” and Danni being in the majority on both Nakum and NuYaxha and then worming her way into the postmerge majority. I don’t want any of this to come across as harsh when I genuinely like your content and find your constant confidently incorrect statements to be amusing. Please keep up the good work and progressive statements/content. I’ll email you as well to open up that dialogue too!
