The Bulletin

This podcast helps me stay sane as I try to understand what is going on with the church. I am baffled the majority of the time. Listening to people I trust, even though I may not agree with each opinion 100% of the time, helps me understand our current day reality.

I've been listening to The Bulletin for a couple of months now, trying to remain objective. However, I've found that the hosts are liberal-leaning and primarily promote liberal talking points. When they have guests, they are either from known liberal organizations or are supposed conservative Republicans, often referred to as RINOs. The hosts attempt to sound intelligent by giving long-winded answers, using big words, and presenting questionable facts about historical events. The show would be much better if they included some opposing viewpoints or guests to challenge them, but I have yet to see that happen. It seems life is easier when everyone agrees with you and you go unchallenged. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect is that they talk very little about Christianity and how to bring others to Christ. I don't think they are bad people, but they project their liberal views onto the audience, making it seem like all Christians should share their viewpoint. The show can be fun to listen to for a good laugh and to see what liberals are talking about.

I have really grown to enjoy and respect this podcast. Mike and Russell and the others on this podcast are very thoughtful, even wise people, and they invite a wide variety of guests. Not all of it, or even most of it, is about Christian topics specifically, so even those without a religious conviction may enjoy this podcast.

Handel’s Messiah has always been my favorite. Shared that one on Facebook and it got some likes from other classical music friends.
