Very Informative with one caveat
٩ ذو الحجة
A very informative program in a clear and entertaining format. Definitely recommend it. My one negative is Felix is almost constantly critiquing every sentence out of his cohosts mouths. Otherwise well worth listening to.
So done with this and Slate

I am so tired of hearing someone who is well off try to explain how the working and middle classes are wrong. I already listened to Emily’s inept anecdotal explanation of what is wrong with NP care in the health system. I absolutely cannot tolerate Felix explaining how poor people don’t understand the healthcare system and how “residents are making half a million dollars a year” (where?!). If you — Felix — don’t understand how people are mad at insurers… good for you for not having these problems. Anne is the only one relatively in touch with the pulse of people outside her social network. I’ve listened to the show for five plus years but I’m done. Canceling my slate plus.
Unlike DDD, y’all missed the mark.

Normally I love this show. The way y’all (and most media) are discussing the CEO kill, misses the mark. We, poor people, are tired and overworked and dying. This DDD shooter did something about it. It feels like a win for us in a system that is so rigged to benefit these evil corporations. Nothing else seems to work. This got their attention. We’re taking note. Though y’all started the discussion off on the wrong foot, the last bit felt correct. “They’re making choices that actually DO harm people. Especially the choices specifically around ‘delaying’ and ‘denying’. And using that process to prevent people from accessing healthcare. Just delays and denials kill around 70,000 people in the U.S. annually. And that’s very close to the number of people who overdose in fentanyl deaths. But which of these problems do you read more about in the news? So, I think some of this is just pent up rage because people know it’s happening and it’s just not being acknowledged.” And then you END the conversation. I’m now equally frustrated by news sources finger wagging. Because of one fast death prioritized over thousands of slower ones.
Good content with a side of condescension

One of my favorite podcasts. Great discussion on business and financial news. However, I can’t stand Felix’s constant mansplaining and insistence that he is right, he is the expert, and the other (female) hosts are just window dressing. He is incredibly condescending. I can’t believe this is tolerated but the other host or by Slate. The episodes where Felix was recently on sabbatical were far and away better.
